Elon Musk admitted to using two secret alternate accounts on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in a deposition for a lawsuit against the billionaire. He said that he used some accounts on the social media site outside of his main public account when he was asked to clarify if he used an account on X that had been linked to him by several users on social media. Some users posted a screenshot of his X interface last year in which the additional account appeared to be visible.

So this guy is the CEO of like 5 companies and he still has time to pretend to be a kid on Twitter? Is he really working that hard? Is he working so much harder that he's worth 20,000x the average worker?

[-] Blackout@kbin.run 113 points 8 months ago

CEOs don't work hard. They delegate the hard work and they have fun, go to lunch with other assholes, etc.

[-] goferking0 45 points 8 months ago

They also love to talk about how hard they work at those lunches

I'd like to live in a world with a 1000x pay scale.

Whatever the richest person makes, the poirers must make at least 1/1000th of that amount.

Spewing bullshit as consistently as he does while still being believed by your core base is a rare skill set.

What is the account in question?

The account @ermnmusk, under the name "Elon Test" appeared to show Elon Musk role-playing as a child much like his three-year-old son. Last year the account posted, “I will finally turn 3 on May 4th!”, in a

This is just weird.

[-] DaCrazyJamez@sh.itjust.works 51 points 8 months ago

I would be much more impressed if he an account where he pretended to NOT be a child...

[-] bomberesque1@lemm.ee 48 points 8 months ago

You. Fucking. Weirdo.

[-] MargotRobbie@lemmy.world 35 points 8 months ago

Instead of pretending to be his own infant son (which is really, really weird) , it would be much funnier if he made an alt account pretending to be a bad impersonation of himself, if he has a sense of humour, that is.

That way, he can say things without having it link back to him and stay under the radar, after all, who in the right mind would ever expect an unverified "Elon Musk" Twitter account to be ran by the actual Elon Musk?

[-] WamGams@lemmy.ca 17 points 8 months ago

That is essentially the Adrian Deitman account. He is pretending to be a loser who is obsessed is pretending to be Elon.

It is really quite pathetic.

[-] MargotRobbie@lemmy.world 16 points 8 months ago

I don't understand how he even have time to be so terminally online when he's running like 5 different companies.

[-] unreasonabro@lemmy.world 12 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

yeah its almost like CEOs don't deserve the pay they get for the "work" they do and everything is a lie

[-] TheBat@lemmy.world 10 points 8 months ago

when he's running like 5 different companies

If Elon Musk had had the misfortune to be poor, he would have been institutionalized by now. But since he's rich, the media just fawns over all his whacko bullshit.

[-] RagingRobot@lemmy.world 17 points 8 months ago

Idk I think he would be just a normal guy. Maybe he would work retail or something and be miserable. I still think that would be better haha.

But his official account isn't secret, is it? 🤷

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 40 points 8 months ago

That's the one where he pretends to be an adult.

[-] sik0fewl@lemmy.ca 7 points 8 months ago

He's doing a shit job.

[-] TheObviousSolution@lemm.ee 27 points 8 months ago

I thought that's why he had his main account.

[-] LiveLM@lemmy.zip 26 points 8 months ago

Oh yeah I forgot about the whole "baby account" thing. Man why are rich people so weird?

[-] TheObviousSolution@lemm.ee 8 points 8 months ago

Because they are psychopaths who really only triumph because their mental illness allows them to bypass social norms and expectations.

This is a deeply wounded and developmentally stunted man, and the power he holds is terrifying because of it.

Has he considered an account where he talks to his therapist?

[-] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 21 points 8 months ago

His regular account also behaves like a child, but he isn't pretending.

[-] MushuChupacabra@lemmy.world 15 points 8 months ago

What a fucking weirdo.

[-] butsbutts@lemmy.ml 13 points 8 months ago
[-] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 12 points 8 months ago

It's weirder. He pretends to specifically be one of his kids.

[-] Grass@sh.itjust.works 7 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

Oof that is really off. What a gross human in so many ways
