I just listened to the Emptiness Machine, it's pretty good. I haven't listened to Linkin Park since the tragedy and it feels weird and a bit sad to go back to them. But I like the song, and I'm glad they went with a female singer, it feels more like he wasn't replaced but just added to. And I've always liked bands that combine female and male singers, Eternal Idol is one of my favorites in that regard. But yeah, I like the song, can't wait to hear the whole album.

Edit: just started watching a bit of that live video, really emotional hearing them start up somewhere I belong, that's why I haven't listened to them since it happened. I'll go back to it a bit later.

Definitely think bringing on someone who “sounds like Chester” would have been a big mistake and seen (probably rightly) as a cash grab by many people. I like the idea of this being a continuation and not a replacement.

Copying Chester was never going to work. Either it's good but people feel ick because it's not actually him or it's imperfect and people are unhappy for that reason.

Hopefully they can find some unique new thing that works out. Will be interesting to see just how much hinged on his vocals and how much the rest of the band matters if they can make a success of it without him.

Tbh was excited... U till I found out she's very much a Scientologist and was openly supporting Danny Masterson through his court case. Mixed feelings for sure.

Is there proof of that other than the forum post referencing the ex-scientologist from another band? I thought the list of names who signed in support of him was public, so would have expected that sort of information to be easy to find.

EDIT: She doesn't appear to have written a letter, which doesn't mean she didn't support him, but I'm not really finding anything that says otherwise or that she's still involved with the church.

Yea I would be lying if I said I did my own research but I looked at links that others sent me and sounded legit.

She does have a very powerful voice, I'm definitely intrigued. Dead Sara's self titled album was full of bangers.

"From zero" is right. Why the hell would someone listen to them if not for Chester? The guy who sounds like they let their cousin try rapping?
