Yeah I have absolutely no sympathy for antivaxxers.

My first instinct is “I will tie you to a chair and put a needle in your arm myself,” but I understand the reasons we shouldn’t do that

My compromise is to make it basically impossible to exist in society if you or your kids are unvaccinated. Make it so you can’t get a job, pay taxes, use or open a bank account, get a drivers license, rent or buy a house, etc etc. Vaccination is the cover charge for entering society.

I agree. The first thing to do would be to follow China's example and make schools reject students if they are behind on their vaccinations.

Unfortunately while I do think that is one of the things that should happen I think it should actually be further down the list because many anti-vaxx Americans don’t want their children going to school in the first place

Banning them from school is important because it protects others but the important thing is to target the parents not the children, because they don’t care about their children in the first place

Banning children from school would mean that the parents would have to look after them instead, making antivax bullshit personally inconvenient to them.

But I get your point. The best thing to do would be to simply mandate vaccinations, ultimately by force if necessary. Besides, homeschooling should be banned as anything other than a short temporary measure for well-adjusted families.

As someone who was homeschooled I absolutely 100% agree, unless it’s temporary and for solid reasons homeschooling is child abuse imo.

Genuinely, why the song and dance about this?

There was a man in the news recently who lost his daughter to measles.

His public statements were: measles isn't as bad as you think, and he wouldn't have changed anything despite his daughter dying. Antivaxxer comments mostly stuck with the vaccine would have done worse and lauded him for sticking to his principles.

What worse possibility than death they're thinking of, I can't say.

I don't think parents should have the right to deny their kids vaccines anymore. I just don't know how you reach people like that.

Vaccines = The Devil???

If it's the same guy I'm thinking of, Minion Death Cult roasted the fuck out of him recently. Apparently they're Texan Mennonites who are so detached from society they needed a translator for their weird dutch language

once again the legacy of the dutch is a curse upon the land

the typical excuse i hear is "lingering side effects" which, if we were to take any of it in good faith, just means they are more ok with being dead than disabled lol

it's an admission that they know all these "welfare queens" et al do not actually have it easy and in fact just the opposite, but they can't reconcile that with their current or past actions & ideology, so they'd rather just die. kind of a microcosm of everything wrong with this current milieu tbh, cos its not just antivaxers who think like this.
