Menuchin also attributes significant weight to economic factors, but offers an additional explanation: “Israelis don’t want to feel like suckers, and they’re now reaching a point where they feel they’re being exploited. They see others getting exemptions, and they wager that if something happens to them, no one will support them or their families. There’s a feeling of abandonment: they see the families of the hostages crowdfunding just to survive. The bottom line is that the state isn’t really there, and that’s becoming clear to more and more Israelis.

all these israelis who refuse to genocide now represent an epidemic of anti-semitism according to the ADL.

Fascism. A movement of cowards. Getting a bit too dicey out there, is it?

Inb4 we get another out of touch sob story from the press about how the rich are truly the ones hurting. Outfitted with a cliche portly white man in a tuxedo and top hat with a drooping mustache and sad look to make it complete.

“Do zoomers think they’re too good to help out their betters?”

Wow just horrifying. First Columbia, now Israel? Why haven't Israeli officials rounded up or deported back to Europe all these 100,000 HAMAS agents? Sounds to me their government is complicit in terrorism

If we can cut aid to American universities for allowing these type of vile displays of antisemitism, surely, we can cut aid to an American vassal over the same. Someone get the POTUS on this

Neoliberalism is wild. "I wanted to dismantle the government to hurt others, I thought I could still have Nice Things!!"

And they'll be the first to tell us we're being a bunch of entitled brats for wanting like healthcare or whatever then spend a hojillion dollars on an Orphan-Seeker 5000 missile and cry when they can't afford two of them after the bill comes due for the first one.

100k seems like a lot. Based on some estimates, that may be more than half the active personnel of the genocidal forces.

Would you genocide for a salary of $350k per year? You would? Damn sounds like people are ok with genocide, it's the money that's the problem

But buddy, if you die in the field they'll let your father collect your seed! What more could you want?

[–] ExotiqueMatter@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 months ago

A shame that we don't have Richard Medhurst reporting on Israel's incompetence anymore.

[–] merthyr1831@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 months ago

they're fine with genocide, they're just afraid of being sniped by a PIJ marksman or being arrested whilst on holiday
