Brah, I don't even close the toilet door when I poop if there's nobody in the house.
Yes, I am disgusting. Thank you for noticing.
Yeah
I do, same with coughing, it's like an automatic reflex I'll lift my arm up so I cough into my elbow!
Sometimes, but fuck you for making think of yawning and then causing me to yawn
I don't cover my mouth when I yawn.
When I'm in a freind group I'll make eye contact with someone and extend my tongue to assert dominance.
50/50
Nah
I’ve never really thought about it before, but I think I do. Not all the time, but most of the time. I guess it’s just a habit.
No, do you also try to sneeze quietly when home?
I don't try to sneeze quietly in public either, just cover to reduce the spray.
Most of the time yes, it's just habit.
Yes, all the time. What if something unwanted goes into my mouth while it's undefended?
I don't cover my mouth when I yawn.
Ever.
You mawnster
18 people agree with you
Upvote/downvote isn’t agree/disagree. It’s more visibility/less visibility.
I can disagree with something and still up arrow it because the commenter made a good point or I like how they said it.
I look the cat in the eyes and yawn aggressively.
As you should!!!
Reading this made me yawn
I didn't realize covering your mouth when yawning was a norm in general, like I don't cover it at all.
Note: it's not like I yawn directly at people or in peoples faces or anything, I just don't cover my mouth.
I was not taught to cover my mouth but I married a mouth coverer. Am a convert now. But I don't think I cover when I'm alone.
People do it out of respect for others since yawning is contagious. We tend to hide our mouths so that others don’t yawn.
Sometimes. It’s just reflex or muscle memory. Recently I did it reflexively while riding my motorcycle and wearing a full face helmet!
Yes, it happens automatically.
I don't cover my mouth when yawning tho, i like to infect people with yawn.
Depends. If I'm stretching and all that, and my mouth is on the way, I'll cover just got the sake of holding the position. If I'm sitting back all comfy, or using my hands, not happening.
Nope, unless there's maybe something I don't wanna breathe in, I guess.
I just found out because this post made me yawn. I do not.
Nope. Yawns are only covered if at work, or somewhere with a fancy dress code. Definitely not when alone.
I do.
Has anyone ever said that so much depends on you?
(Assuming your display name is a reference to the poem)
"Glazed with rain water"
Not covering your mouth when you yawn is rude, guys. Has your mother never told you that?
Nope.
Conscious people do it as their personal preference. They might cover their mouth while being inside the house but at outside, office, workplace or any public place, they( almost all of them) cover their mouth. I do it too.
To me, the sound of yawning is more important factor to consider. Some people make earth-shattering sound while yawning. It makes me so angry and bored that I get the urge to unalive them on the spot.
