We do, regularly. Especially here!
Unfortunately it is ineffective, since most brands don't bother with such fringe communities, like here.
They already begrudgingly pay minimum wage to have someone write cringe inducing comments on the big platforms. That is, if they aren't just using ShatGPT.
Besides, to be able to bully them, it would also mean they are spamming their crap here, and I don't think it's worth it.

My bet is that it's an intern who believes marketing/advertising is a great thing and sees games as "waste of time". Or a 50yo manager who fired the almost-competent PR team and asked their nephew how games worked.
I also consume the nutrients at the dinner time.
I really hate it when corporate Twitter accounts try to be quirky. Wendy's trolling McDonald's was funny for a bit but even that got old and I blame it for making this sort of thing common.
They realized that cringe increases engagement via hate-sharing.

Just because someone uses it to try to be funny, does not make it parody. It doesn’t make it sarcasm. It doesn’t make it ironic. People love to use all of those incorrectly.

I can almost see the grey face of the marketing intern shuffling out of another pointless meeting to write this, debating whether their health insurance would cover jumping out of the building window.
They tried to say this wouldn't work, but Bob the PM thinks its great and has ordered you to put it through. His only concession to your warning was "well, add an 'lol' or something to make it sound gamery".

No. But I do sing the victory fanfare tune from final fantasy every time I do some small thing. Wash dishes? Victory! Laundry? Victory! Cook dinner? Victory! Take a shit? Victory!
Oh. Oh I'm not the only one. I'm not even an avid FF player; I just played some of the remakes on DS.
The victory tune is burned into my brain, as well as the Chocobo theme.
