I just started watching this again, the first season, and goddamn it’s such a wild show. The twists still hit hard after 65 years. Serling crafted such a wonderful surreal little world

It is weird to watch old shows and how much more intresting and progressive they are compared to our current slop.

If you ever catch any old soviet stuff it is wild to see how much more intresting it is. I just saw a video essay and it talked about how the nick animated shows from millennial childhood were all run by ex soviet artists and that is why they are so much more creative and intresting than contemporary American output. Like, rug rats and ahh real monsters look like big budget versions of soviet cartoons.
