Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.

Rules:

-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --

-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --

-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --

-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --

-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--

-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--

-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --

-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

They're using this to gather facial biometric data to deanonymize protestors. Everyone stay safe and cover your face, else they'll use it against you!!

Or if his prostate wasn't a tumor

[–] Speaker@hexbear.net 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Damn, I hope no one has already started a non-profit for prostate cancer support called Post-Nut Charity.

"Nut. Joy. JellyJellyJellyJellyJellyJellooooo. Nut-nut-nut-nut. Corn Pop. Corn Pop? Nut Pop. Jelloooooooooooooooooooooooo..." And he falls asleep. It was taxing.

$9.4 million could be used for a lot of good things instead of giving the police more toys they'll use for evil.

I hope this billionaire meets a karmic end. Head cut off by a drone or something.

$2m to lease an office for 16 months and $7m for drones and tech.

No doubt this will be added to the department’s budget and taxpayers will be forced to pick up future lease extensions, drone attrition, new drone models, training, and the continued costs of server hosting, software licenses, etc. in perpetuity.

You can build a microwave gun that will make them drop out of the sky. There's videos on YouTube lol. Or a less technical way would be just fly a drone into theirs or rig up a little net to drop on them. Main problem is spotting the damn things in the sky.

Another way to counter it is to go to the source. Find where they're launching from, if they have a network of repeater antennas, the names and home addresses of the operators. A whole bunch of opportunities!!

I just had a look on youtube and I'm pretty underwhelmed by the DIY microwave guns. I can't see them being in anyway useful against drones that are not going out of their way to be shot down for a video.

Evil country says "We’re going to be covering the entire city with drones:"

Capitalists showing they have class conciseness

[–] mkultrawide@hexbear.net 17 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Pretty much inevitable. Why pay for helicopters and police chases when you can simply tail a suspect with a fleet of drones and then arrest them later?

[–] JoeByeThen@hexbear.net 14 points 5 days ago

Free drones. JB-shining-aggro

Everything is fucked

Hopefully all police will be covered in (shahed) drones
