Quotas are supposed to be illegal for law enforcement, not that they care about rule of law, but should be another note for the second Nuremberg Trials.
Nazis. That's what the fuck. It is all so "by the book". That book was supposed to warm us away from stuff like this. But nazi rhetoric is being wielded so fiercely in 2025 that the rest of us are, justifiably, pretty confused.
Anyone who still doesn't see how similiar this is to 1930s Germany, is lying, a child or ignorant to the point where they their opinion should be ignored.
Nothing short of violent revolution will change anything in the states at this point. The courts are powerless, and the entire political system is rotten to the core.
Until the last three days, I've actually been fairly optimistic.
While slow, the courts had acted to curb Donald's worst abuses. The tariffs wreaked havoc, but we saw when the bond markets reacted that someone in his administration was able to make him see reason. (My own retirement has recovered its losses from February.) Elon Musk was finally being thrown out of the administration.
But here we are now, and this is genuinely scary stuff for absolutely everyone that isn't independently wealthy. The reaction of California and the courts will dictate how things proceed. This isn't the well-organized, institutionalized abuses of immigrants of Dubya, Obama and Biden. It's the heavy-handed, sloppy, careless and unmitigated cruelty of the Gestapo.
And, for me, I just can't get around the fact that this is probably happening because a meme hurt Donald's ego.
Trump and Steven Miller escalated the situation because they needed to feel good about themselves after Elon fucked them both over. This is probably what they planned for the elections in 2026/28.

Most fucked up part? Chile is the whitest South American country. There was an old statistic from the mid 2000s that put Chile at 95% white European heritage people.
