The last time the president said two weeks, you saw [Russia and Ukraine] have direct negotiations for the first time in years,” Leavitt said.

They did not. Just sayan.

[–] bieren@lemmy.zip 8 points 4 hours ago

Well she’s a facist shit bag like the rest of them. So fuck her. The two week slogan is Trump admitting he hasn’t a fucking plan or clue. Not even the concept of a plan. He did this last term as well.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 6 points 4 hours ago

Wonder how much longer Nazi Barbie is going to last before the next bridge troll gets called up to the big leagues.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 hours ago

Ya know every time I see her I think she looks like the human incarnation of thick water, it's water it's technically the baseline but there's just something fundamentally wrong with it. Before anyone calls her vanilla, vanilla is the standard that all else is compared to.

[–] hOrni@lemmy.world 13 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

She answers every question the same. First, a little bullshit, then blame it on Biden, adding that his administration was bad, and then follow up with even more bullshit.

[–] bieren@lemmy.zip 3 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

According to her, Trump inherited the war between Iran and Israel. From Biden of course. The war that has been happening for a week by two countries going at each other for the last 40 years at least. But it’s bidens fault.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 1 points 20 minutes ago

Two countries that notably spent rhe past four years in a cold phase of their war.

[–] Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 4 hours ago

Is him punting his decision really that bad though? If he's "thinking" about attacking Iran he's not actually attacking Iran. If this is just a tactic to try and ride out the media cycle and hope people forget, in this case that's good, no action on this is currently the best possible scenario.

Trump changing the subject right now to hopefully some dumb performative attack on Harvard and getting the hawks in his administration off his back is probably the best we can hope for right now.

Is skewered equal to or more than slammed?

[–] el_bhm@lemm.ee 1 points 2 hours ago

It is slammed, but visceral.

[–] Venus_Ziegenfalle@feddit.org 1 points 5 hours ago

I think skewered despite the violent metaphor is quite mellow compared to the rest. I think it's skewer, slam, blast, rip, smash/smack down, destroy.

[–] Cenzorrll@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago

I think my gauge might be wrong. Where does "being asked a question" fall in the skewered-slammed-crushed system? This might be a she was skewered, and the journalist was slammed by her response?

He asked her if Trump would follow through on Iran, she said Biden's at fault for Ukraine. Sooo...

[–] orbituary@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Definitely less than being ripped

[–] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 2 points 8 hours ago

But is ripped more or less than smacked down? We need a chart people.

[–] some_dude@lemm.ee 33 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

She's such a snippy bitch when she answers press questions, as if she's assed out that the press are even bothering her.

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 35 points 10 hours ago

It's exactly why they picked her. "Be nasty to the media" was pretty much her only order.

[–] ExtremeDullard 31 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (1 children)

She's thick alright, and not just the makeup.

I often wonder if she's as properly dumb as she sounds and she really believes the shit she says, or if she's a true professional striving to do her job to the best of her abilities, even if her job involves lying and saying things that make her look like a dumb bimbo.

I really can't decide.

[–] floop@lemmy.dbzer0.com 34 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (2 children)

It’s not stupidity that makes these people believe the things they do, it’s a concerted effort at self-delusion. They simply hate the world the way it is (and the people in it) so they invent a fantasy reality in which they can pretend that we all live because they simply refuse to accept the world for what it is and people for who they are.

[–] Grumpyleb@lemmus.org 10 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

Exactly so, and still you listen to people saying that they're dumb, or falling victim to fake news. NO, they are racist bastards, it's that simple.

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

What was just described sounds pretty fucking dumb to me. I think we're splitting hairs here

[–] ExtremeDullard 7 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (2 children)

But... All it would take her is watching a video of herself delivering Trump's BS to realize how mind-numbingly daft and lapdoggish she sounds. It really doesn't take much self-introspection skills to feel ashamed at oneself behaving like that. And she went to university, so surely she must see it too. Nobody can be this blind to one's shameful behavior. That's what puzzles me so much.

Unless, like I said, she's a consummate professional and she chooses to leave her self-respect in the locker when she clocks in in order to do the best job she can.

[–] floop@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

There’s nothing puzzling about it: they lied to themselves until they believe their own lies. If they were capable of any sort of self-introspection or shame, they wouldn’t be the people they are.

And there’s nothing professional about being a pathological liar and propaganda mouthpiece for a fascist administration.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 9 hours ago

I'm not sure some of these people are capable of processing shame in the same way normal people might.

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 12 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (2 children)

When they take ownership? Everything is still Biden's fault lmao. Will they be saying this 3 years from now???

Get over the fucking Biden admin. Conflicts started on Trump's watch, not Biden's. I swear man. Backed into a corner?! Biden did this!

[–] supamanc@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

In the UK, the Conservatives were shamelessly blaming 'the previous government' (Labour) for shit 12 years after they were last in power...

[–] fluxion@lemmy.world 4 points 9 hours ago

Thanks Obama

[–] ShoeThrower@lemmy.zip 8 points 10 hours ago

The media really trying to goad him into starting a war immediately after he said he's considering nuking Iran.

[–] Nusm@piefed.zip 5 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) (1 children)

Here’s the Psaki video with a bunch of Trump’s two week promises:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zROqlHfVHTk

[–] ubergeek@lemmy.today 2 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

So, she's calling out the press secretary bullshitting the media, just like she did?

[–] Nusm@piefed.zip 2 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

Yeah, I know. But she’s still got a point. And I guess if anyone would know….

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 7 points 10 hours ago

That deadline nonsense is Little t trying to focus attention on this one thing.

Pay close attention to what other things go down in the next two weeks.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 9 hours ago

LOL, the supercut that Psaki ran of the two-week bullshit from Taco is so hilarious.

Also, this stupid bitch Leavitt talking trash about Biden's admin? LOL, things were great under Biden and this so-called "administration" is a total fucking dumpster fire. She can sit and spin.

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 2 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

The first three words got my hopes up, ngl

[–] ExtremeDullard -4 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

In fairness, as long as she keeps her trap shut, she's quite attractive.

[–] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 1 points 8 hours ago

Meh, she also does her makeup like a grandma I wonder if that’s on purpose to appear conservative?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 9 hours ago

Probably a big part of why she got the job.
