Damn, he was only 76? He looked like he was 96.

Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.
Rules:
-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --
-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --
-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --
-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today/ . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --
-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--
-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--
-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --
-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --
There were weeks where decades' worth of drugs were done
Did he somehow manage to die of old age?
I seriously thought all those drugs killed him like 20 years ago, my first reaction to this news was "wait, he was actually still alive up till now?"
A helluva lot of drugs is a helluva drug
I learned about it from the following fucking post. After the first sentence I thought to myself "Ozzy died?" And the second sentence "Ozzy's actually dead?" And then I had to google. I know putting in "RIP Ozzy" doesn't get maximum likes but c'mon.
Sharon I bloody died Sharon. Sharon they sent me to bloody heaven. Where are the bloody flames Sharon. Sharon it’s all bloody choir music up here Sharon. Sharon for fucks sake all the white is bloody blinding me up here Sharon.
It's OK, as we speak, Sharon is probably commissioning an Ozzy hologram to continue bludgeoning the cash piñata from well beyond the grave. Now with AI!
TV exec: "You want to do a reality show with your family... But Ozzy is deceased - is he not?"
Sharon: "My team as worked out all the kinks already. It's pure plug-and-play with a maximum 25 millisecond response lag. Totally not noticeable. Enhanced polystuff. OzzyGram™ will deliver top-flight entertainment value..."

If we were vampires and death was a joke
We'd go out on the sidewalk and smoke
Laugh at all the lovers and their plans
I wouldn't feel the need to hold your hand
Maybe time running out is a gift
I'll work hard 'til the end of my shift
And give you every second I can find
And hope it isn't me who's left behind

A lovely song
My headcanon is he's reigning in hell \m/ 😭 \m/

What did Ozzy do to you lol
well first of all he's a zionist. secondly i really don't like his music
Damn cant believe kneecap killed ozzy osbourne thats gonna fuck up their trial for sure
aw shit
RIP
I'll be honest, I'm surprised he even lived to see Black Sabbath's farewell concert. He looked like Weekend at Bernie's for a year before now. I get the feeling he was trying his best to hold on for it.
Either way, RIP. My personal "big four" for metal are Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy, Biff Byford, and Rob Halford, and now Ozzy and Lemmy are dead and Biff and Rob are reportedly not in the best of health.
I'm a zoomer and not a rock fan.
Literally All I know about Ozzy is that he was in a rock band, the bat thing, and that his wife is a rabid Zionist.
Anyone tell me why he was so special?
his band Black Sabbath were early pioneers of heavy metal. arguably the most important group in the creation of that genre
I don't mean this to be dismissive at all, creating a subgenre is crazy particularly for fans of the genre/subgenre, but is that all?
From what I know heavy metal is pretty niche, but it seems like he's praised as if he's a global icon?
Was he a "Cash-like" figure? Who fought for causes, like prison reform and native American rights in Johnny's case?
Sorry, I've obviously tried looking this up but the Internet is flooded with vague niceties and surface level recaps right now.
I mean, that's a distinction that very few bands have. Not to mention that they were very anti-war in their messaging (even if that old fuck Ozzy became a Zionist) and they were very prolific with a ridiculously solid catalogue, like The Smiths level of consistent quality.
he was america's first black president
no clue who that is
that's ozzy osbourne
he's dead
RIP Iron Man.
haha
I found out because I randomly thought of him and tried to look up when he died thinking it was like 10 years ago. Trippy
