Funny guy, seemed like someone who wanted people to basically be decent to eachother and not get bent out of shape over propaganda. Naturally that meant he was highly controversial in his time.

I just can't get over the line from one of his live performances: "China, who we call 'red' China, exploded a nuclear bomb, which we called a device"
I don't think I've seen as pithy a skewering of the insane distortions of red scare era propaganda.

You can really draw a straight line from the Cold War gallows humor of Tom Lehrer through the “Dirtbags” to Hexbear.
NGL I thought he died years ago.
Yeah I thought he put his work into the public domain and then kicked it a couple months later.
