I don't think Mothma is actually a liberal really. Like shes a senator but she's playing pretend. Putting on a show. She is more similar to Bourgoise class traitors who sided with the proletariet in revolutions of the past. Which did happen. Engels, Lenin, etc. All born into rather wealthy backgrounds. She does have that kind of sheltered mindset of being shocked by violence, but that's normal for her to have given her life experiences, and she gets over it eventually.
This isnt to say shes a communist by any means btw. But she is very clearly a revolutionairy character. Liberals would be reformist at best.

Well yeah like i said she isnt like ideologically a leftist or anything. It's media made by Americans so she's gonna be bad when it comes to governance. But in regards to like how she views revolution she isn't a liberal. A liberal is more like that one dude who works for the empire, and is a stickler for the rules. But then gets all upset when he has a personal attachment to the people being slaughtered. But then he still attacks Andor for no good reason.
