Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

"Good Christian"

Those words are not synonyms.

[–] DreamAccountant@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

Religions are lies, and christianity is no exception. Those religious lies are used to push their nonsense on everyone around them, while making them think that they're better than everyone else for believing in a fictional god.

Stop supporting religions. Even if you think you're one of the "good ones". Especially if you think that you're one of the "good ones".

Good Christian

They don't even go together in one sentence

[–] NotSteve_@piefed.ca 19 points 2 months ago (2 children)

If the West Bank belongs to Jewish people "by right", then the USA belongs to the indigenous people right? I guess pointing out conservative hypocrisy is a futile task though

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

It's thinly veiled dressing on "the world belongs to white people by right"

[–] axexrx@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

The Bible do3snt promise native Americans that land, so no.

Johnson looks like evil counterpart of Colbert. Anyone else see the resemblance?

[–] snausagesinablanket@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

O M G He is the Anti-Colbert

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 7 points 2 months ago

He's Colbert with one or two additional cousin marriages among the ancestors

[–] esc27@piefed.social 5 points 2 months ago

Yes. Ever since he started getting media attention, I've seen him as the real world, version of the comedic character Colbert portrayed.

[–] Randelung@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Colbert has himself compared himself to Johnson a few times.

Same guy who uses an app with his son so they can monitor each others porn usage. Not weird at all.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this guy is a pedophile. He’s doing his best to protect one by keeping the govt shut down.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

Well, he supports pedophiles. So he's definitely a Christian.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

If that's a good Christian I'd hate to meet a bad one

[–] dylanmorgan@slrpnk.net 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I couldn’t find details for Louisiana, but Mike Johnson is showing 35% unfavorable compared to 30% favorable, so he’s not exactly “popular.”

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago

He's popular enough to have won his last election unopposed.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_history_of_Mike_Johnson

Still, hard to say if it's the man or the R in front of his name.

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 6 points 2 months ago

If he really believed that, he'd be too busy giving massive portions of the US back to the indigenous tribes to bother with anyone else.

[–] BeefandSquints@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They love him because they can't read in those parts.

[–] DreamAccountant@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They don't read their bible, they have a hate preacher yell it at them several times a week. That hate preacher 100% definitely tells them how to vote in every single election. For their fictional god. That controls everything.

[–] BeefandSquints@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

Yeah, literal morons dedicating their lives to low tier fiction.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

I don't consider him a Christian, regardless of what he claims. He's openly against everything that Jesus said (the red text in the Bible), especially the "stranger" & "hypocrisy" parts.

He's a Christofascist.

I seriously doubt Hell is real, but if it is, he's most certainly going to be burning in it.

[–] hopesdead@startrek.website 3 points 2 months ago

I genuinely thought that was a AI generated image. Still think it might be.

[–] ConHoliousDonFrankle@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

What a vacant shitbag skinsuit.

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Being a "Good Christian" means he is morally bankrupt but also racist/sexist with a sprinkle of rapist... that is all they care about

[–] mikenurre@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Good Zionist

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 months ago

by right

okay. WHAT RIGHT EXACTLY?

Some religious (ie made up) bullshit right?

[–] joker125@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

What a peace deal:

Peaceful defenseless suffragette victims of entitled formerly suffragette politicians decide who is ally to live. Rinse and repeat meanwhile no asks why the billionaires are so happy.
