Companies don't care about their customers, they only care about their stock price. What are Windows users gonna do? Switch to Linux en masse? Not happening.
I'm sure they'll care about the stock price soon enough, seeing as many big names responsible for starting the AI bubble in the first place are now bailing out.

I have a different hat for when that becomes necessary. Or alternatively, I go outside.
Increasingly I just ... don't bother? ... with "protected" media. If I absolutely want to watch it it will come out in 🏴☠️ circles soon enough anyway. There's nothing so important I need to see it now after all, no matter how much the marketing tries to convince me otherwise.
So I don't stream. Ever. I don't watch anything that's protected by DRM. I wait for it to be pirated or I do without (and more and more it's the latter).
