5 so I guess I'm also a woman? π€·ββοΈ
Yes
How should I know, I'm sleeping
Everyone saying this is AI generated is dumb
This meme has been circulating for at least 12 years
Here's a different version of it on shutter stock from 2012 https://www.shutterstock.com/image-photo/sleeping-positions-part-one-122824720
My hero!
4 and 5 is the most natural position, 11 is just asking for neck problems in the future.
I alternate left side/ right side. Can't sleep on my back, or I'll snore so loud I'll tear up my throat.
Yes
Where are the t-rex arms/hands?
Yes
17, but with a long body pillow under the bent arm+leg and a regular pillow positioned like 2
Every position except for 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11.
I tend to fall asleep out of nowhere. Sometimes it looks like I got shot. Sometimes my legs are crossed or my hands are folded behind my head. Sometimes I fall asleep on the floor while playing with the cat.
With OP's mom.
I met someone that actually slept like number 13.
In my early 20's several friends had a summer house on the Jersey shore. I would visit every few weeks. There were always other friends crashing there as well.Β
Girl told us she slept this way and sure enough, we found her that way in the morning.
Always sleeping with one brown eye open
4 but straight back and legs I payed for a big bed and I am going get value of every angle of it.
Weirdly gendered....
It's bait for the ole "I'm 18 and my girlfriend is 11" thing
The what? I have no idea what this is
Edit: no I got it, okay, thatβs crazy
Omfg it totally is!
Gross...
AI slop which has been assembled, me thinks.
Why do half the images look blurry and weird and ugly? Is it AI slop or something?
Yep it be the slop alright
Not really sure if inverted shrimp counts but itβs how I usually end up. That or 9-10.
all of them
i think all except 13.
13, without the pillow, is kinda how babies/toddlers sometimes sleep (once they can roll over).
None of these involve an anime body pillow.
uh... just pointing that out on behalf of a friend.
You are a good friend
Mine ain't even on there bruh
Is 18 okay?
I am more worried about 13
When your dead tired, but still constipated
All of them throughout the night.
I'm just gonna go with a yes here
I rotate through five or six of these all night long.
The best position for brain health isn't shown. Right side.
This is an except from the linked PDF:
Sleeping position
Optimizing oneβs sleeping position is a possible behavioral manipulation that may enhance glymphatic flow. Body posture during sleep affects the direction of gravity relative to the cerebrovascular system, changing the resistance to blood and CSF flow in the brain (Martin-Du Pan et al., 2004). Lee et al. (2015) showed that glymphatic transport in rats is more effective in a right lateral than in supine or prone positions. Healthy humans with a preference to sleep in a right lateral position showed longer SWS time and shorter REM sleep time compared to individuals with a preference to sleep in supine position (Zhang et al., 2022b). In line with this, sleeping in a supine position was associated with reduced SWS and REM sleep time compared to non-supine positions in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (Alfaiate et al., 2023). Intriguingly, it has been shown that patients with MCI, AD, and Lewy body dementia spend more time with their head in the supine than in non-supine (i.e., prone or lateral) positions during sleep compared to healthy age- matched controls (Levendowski et al., 2019)
16, but my hands go over my junk. Just in case one of my dogs jumps up on to the bed in the middle of the night. It's saved me a couple of times now.
Sometimes 18 if the cat won't shut up...
13 is temporary if I have bad gas and need to rip one. The rest of the night is just slow rotating like a rotisserie chicken until I pass out.
GERD sufferer here. Only 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9 are viable. Back-sleeping is doable, but only if reclined. The othes equal poor rest and a painful day to follow.
