Well-known MAGA influencers who once championed the release of the files associated with the government’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein remained unusually quiet about the latest release of documents that included multiple mentions of Donald Trump.

Not really silent so much as waiting for the new talking points.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 30 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"You're asking ME for my opinion? I don't know! Fox news hasn't told me what to think yet! You know I don't do that on my own....."

[–] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

I bet you could do like a network analysis of post times to see this effect as it spreads from fox to big figures to influencers to magats

[–] Lasherz12@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

Waiting for marching orders. They're still downloading.

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 194 points 2 days ago (1 children)

"multiple" = over 600 in just recent copy/paste trick. There will be more mentions. This is basically trumps pedophile sex trafficker ring, epstein was just the fall guy.

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 125 points 2 days ago (9 children)

No way Trump was running the show.

He's the guy who bankrupted two casinos and lost a billion trying to buy the Plaza Hotel.

Moreover, look at Trump's record. He hasn't got any long time associates besides Michael Cohen [who got arrested. ] Trump wouldn't have had any one at his side.

Trump was Epstien's client.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 71 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Trump ran his own trafficking ring. Trump Model Management.

Epstein ran a separate trafficking ring. MC2 Model Management. (in partnership with a French pedo named Jean-Luc Brunel, founded almost 6 years after Trump's agency.)

They then traded trafficked girls back and forth, while hosting sex parties that they invited rich and famous people to.

Epstein most likely collected blackmail for Israel, while Trump likely collected for Russia.

His best client though. Probably the only time he ever paid for services received

[–] newthrowaway20@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago

He paid by trading girls.

Also, Trump may have invested in Epstein's trafficking/extortion business.

He hasn’t got any long time associates besides Michael Cohen [who got arrested. ]

Allen Weisselberg was even longer-term and probably more essential to Trump Org operations and its various frauds.

[–] fizzle@quokk.au 37 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I saw a commenter suggest Trumps properties were finding, grooming, and storing potential victims.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 40 points 2 days ago

Trump Model Management.

He ran his own trafficking ring, and yes, he stored girls at his properties. Mostly from Eastern Europe, and in the US on immigration fraud (forcing them to work on tourist visas)

Epstein copied Trump's agency with MC2 modeling a few years after Trump founded his own.

[–] tempest@lemmy.ca 24 points 2 days ago

The hotel and casinos were almost for sure money laundering and skipping out on paying vendors/contractors etc

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 21 points 2 days ago

Epstein was actually smart. Unfortunately he used his brains for worse things than just run of the mill financial gain. Trump just tries to associate with people who know what they’re doing, just preferentially chooses people good at shitty things.

[–] Bluegrass_Addict@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 days ago

you can be very successful financially in bankrupting businesses, especially ones that are very easy to get millions upon millions in dirty money and laundering rackets... like casinos.

Silent?

They are just waiting on their orders on what to believe in.

[–] kieron115@startrek.website 23 points 1 day ago

President’s name was mentioned in some documents part of Tuesday’s release but did not implicate him in any crimes.

He was present while they drowned a baby.

[–] quantumharsh@sh.itjust.works 59 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They're waiting to be told what to say by the think tanks.

[–] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 22 points 2 days ago (2 children)

And the think tanks are spinning their wheels going "uhhhhhhh"

they didn't stop slurping his incontinent asshole after "grab'em by the pussy," nor after "suckers and losers," or "covid is a hoax"-- in fact they became more rabidly obsessed with heaping praise and pasting his head onto rambo

something tells me this latest embarrassment for the human species will be no different

[–] Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk 59 points 2 days ago (3 children)

"He tells it like it is".

Cunts

[–] U7826391786239@lemmy.zip 37 points 2 days ago (2 children)

every time he speaks he spews laughably absurd lies from his face anus like explosive diarrhea, and his cult followers scramble over each other to lick up and swallow every last chunk

remember "mexico's gonna pay for the wall," and then when--fucking obviously--mexico didn't pay for the wall, you had these fucking lemmings volunteering to drive to the border and work on building the wall for free

"cunts" isn't nearly a strong enough word. i don't know that one exists

People say Republicans/MAGA will "look the other way" on the bigotry and hate; but you highlighted the unspoken. They'd pay, their own time and money, for the chance to feel powerful by depriving the needy.

When I think of the MAGA base I always envision a disgruntled working-class white man who is certain there will never be a better future, and just wants to beat down marginalized populations. Maybe he does it so there's more for him; maybe because he's misdirected and hate hurts less than disappointment.

Forgive me for not believing that there will be some ground-breaking reaction to this reminder that Trump and the powerful elites are actually self-serving predators. They were voted in to be ruthless predators. DOGE was about destroying the government employees. ICE is about terrorizing brown and black people, and the "libs" that back them. Sure, some of Epstein's victims were white girls... some of the "woke feminists" MAGA mocks incessantly are white women. The attacks on SNAP and criminalization of the homeless are going to destroy all skin tones alike. Banning abortion sure screwed white women (and that one happened pre-reelection).

These people don't vote MAGA to protect kids ; most vote MAGA because they want to feel like KKKlansmen tyrants with as little effort as it takes to cast a ballot; and the rest are just plain gullible.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

Rubes. Suckers. Marks.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"All men are attracted to young women, it's genetic."

I've heard that one, from a person who's both a Trump and Tate fan.

Eurgh.

I'm 42, nearly 43. Whilst I can objectively appreciate the beauty of a 20 something, I dont find myself attracted to women that young anymore.

Does that mean I'm not a real man?

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Also, "You can't take him literally, but you have to take him seriously."

[–] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 2 days ago

Also, "That's just locker room talk."

These statements are often made in the same breath.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

If facts mattered to them, they wouldn't be MAGA. It's about rooting for the home team, not about reason. Endless tribal loyalty displays. They want to be told what to think and do. They have no ideas of their own.

The only people who struggle to craft a semi-coherent narrative are their propagandists. The rest would follow their Dear Leader to catch a ride on a passing comet if he told them to.

[–] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

I don't know. Pedo shit hits people on a different level. He's not bringing everyone along for this ride.

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 28 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Numerous? It mention over 800 times. That a lot more than the vague title suggests.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Technically 800 IS numerous! It certainly isn't singular....

Just catching their breath before gobbling orange chode again

[–] Stupidmanager@lemmy.world 44 points 2 days ago

They’re just waiting for new programming instructions. Don’t worry.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (2 children)

They go into hiatus to somehow find a way to defend pedophilia. Because it can't be bad if Trump does it.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

Well, they've already started with the "it's only light pedophilia: ackshually it's epebophilia." And even if that mattered, avoid the subject of the trafficking, the rape and the extortion.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Good lord.....I am not looking forward to being called a woke libtard for my refusal to rape kids....

Nah. They busy crying fake news and trying to say Clinton is in them.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago

He might be. I don't know. I haven't read them.

But if he IS in there, that's not the gotcha moment they think it is.

Trump is in the files.

throws trump in the fire

Fuck trump.

Now, if Clinton is in there too as a guilty party?

throws clinton in the fire

Fuck clinton.

Any other questions?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Like anyone would shed a tear if Clinton were implicated. That's just a "yeah, so? Now back to the subject of Trump's involvement. How many mentions of each name?"

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You will wear that for the rest of your lives you fascist pukes.

It was fun when conservatives had to bear the stigma of Watergate ... for all of six years until a retired B-list actor with literal Alzheimer's let them goose-step with pride once again.

[–] rossman@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I have right skewing family and they can't be swayed. their only source is a news station, and they refuse to listen to anything else. They'll just act surprised when anything hits the news. This is like "ignorance is bliss' but ruins it for everyone else.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 1 day ago

It's willful ignorance because they never listen when you try to inform them. They don't want to know, because deep down they know he's absolute scum.

Go silent? Lol right. They’re not silent. Right now they’re simply in full-on denial.

It’s like that scene from “What about Bob.”

Me: “You think they’re gone?! They’re not gone! That’s the whole point! They’re never gone!”
opens comments on news story about Epstein
MAGA Influencers: “is this some kind of radical new fake news?”
Me: “SEE?!”

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 16 points 2 days ago

Unfortunately, they won't stay silent.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So now Trump will be investigated and prosecuted for his crimes, right? .......right?

[–] mika_mika@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

That's why I've been confused about the push for the files release. What did people think was going to happen?

[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 3 points 1 day ago

Sane people would be outraged, republicans world cry fake news, and there would be no change in the status quo. No investigation, no consequences, and no reduction in support for trump. Possibly even an increase as they claim the left is releasing fake news to make their god/king look bad.
