Maybe it's helpful for some people, but I feel like putting any amount of hope in a god-figure just magically fixing everything that's wrong with the world would put me off like, actually doing the necessary work to make that happen.

... Not that I'm particularly effective at that now anyway

Oh I know. I'm just playing around. I'm not religious.

Damn, when you put it like that, it makes religion almost sound like a drug that pacifies people, like some kind of opiate, that effects the masses or something.

Jesus is back. And this time: She's got a gun

I'm not a religious man. But any God worth worshiping would look at these monsters, and say "begone from me, I never knew you"

again repeating a post from the other day:

jesus comes back and does the third impact based on what he has witnessed

I was raised pretty fundamentalist Christian. My mother and I attended a multi week Bible study about end times prophecy in the Bible. I've forgotten most of it. But it's likely the same prophecy they're telling the military they're trying to fulfill. The way that was taught to me, the United States does not make it to the end of the story. It's presumably destroyed or defeated. So they're rushing headlong to their (and subsequently my) own doom.

Be the Jesus you want to see in the world.

There will be no punishment eternal
For the greedy parasite,
Unless we build our own inferno
To extract what's ours by right.

Have you actually considered the lovecraftian implications of the Son of the old testament God coming back?

The billionairs that were squished in that sub a while back can fit through the eye of a needle. So we have an effective plan

U know, there's like a negative correlation between what Jesus said and what christianity teaches. So it doesn't make sense to associate these two.
