"We did it, Patrick! We made a technological breakthrough!"

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.

AI, in this case, refers to LLMs, GPT technology, and anything listed as "AI" meant to increase market valuations.

Spend 15min drafting a doc and send it or spend 25min editing AI slop to make it seem like I wrote it. Why?

The only time I have used AI was to put more filler words into something before getting to the point to make it seem like I put effort into it. Why would I spend more time putting effort into that?

The slop will continue until revenue improves.

If your AI is so great, why are you trying to hide it?

If you want an AI that's relatable, you should consider giving it a virtual family. Maybe give it a bit of depression - who can't related and be a bit sympathetic towards depression? Or maybe make it emotional

I was trying to get some code out of chatgpt the other day, and it started telling me all about the real world monitor setups that it did in the past.
