I really tried to do a start-to-finish rewatch of Voyager last year. I'm an old-school trekkie, I watched TNG and DS9 and about the first half of Voyager on their original broadcast runs. But fucking hell, I just could not tolerate Neelix.

Neelix killed it for me in the first series. I couldn't stand such an obnoxious character and he had way too much airtime. It was too close to how Star Wars uses characters like Baby Yoda or Ewoks for pointless wholesomeporn.
Except he's not remotely wholesome he's a groomer and an abuser. Janeway's only mistake in killing Tuvix was not killing Neelix too.
