For some reason, I thought he was already dead
If you told me he died twenty years ago I wouldn't question it at all
I'm not American so I'm not familiar
I mainly know him from jokes made about him or at his expense
Wow that's kinda depressing. Like is there something I'm missing?
It's sad because he's dead but how is it depressing? He made it to 100
Edit: well all the other comments are depressing
He made it to 100
Yeah and I'm happy for him on that front. It's just that my default prior is "death is a bad thing" until I get some information to suggest otherwise (e.g. person is suffering and would prefer to die, or person is a monster (e.g. billionaires, politicians, cops, serial killers)).
It's sad because he's dead but how is it depressing?
I don't know. I just personally didn't feel better when I read it. And I don't feel good about it now. ☹️
So I guess the Charlie Chaplin enthusiast movie critic in the Devil’s Rejects is based off of this guy.
