[–] refolde@hexbear.net 27 points 17 hours ago

He did? This place doesn't look like a ditch.

Why did he still have a loaded gun when he went home? Even the American military doesn't do that shit, you got to check your M16 into the armory.

It's for "recreational activities"

And by that I mean, going to the west bank to shoot up some mosques

For Volksturm reasons I think

[–] Euergetes@hexbear.net 10 points 16 hours ago

when your entire government is underwritten i guess you don't worry about such pedestrian things as keeping military armories since uncle sam refills them with heaps of surplus

"You know sweetie I shot a kid that was about your age just last week."

With trigger discipline that poor it really makes you wonder if they're really commiting suicide at record numbers or if their finger slipped.

I once worked with an Israeli firearms “expert” who had to take some time off because he accidentally shot himself.

I'll never understand how people can have zero empathy for others that they'd exterminate another group of people's children; and the reality is they do it because they recognize that if Palestinian children grow up that they'd be an obstacle to them stealing their lands; they're looking at human beings as obstacles/hindrances and they don't see human beings.

And what's worse is so many, if not most of them, moved there and put themselves in that position. Even the ones born there seem to lack the self consciousness to realize what Israel is, or have decided it's fine. I do though recognize that the brainwashing from childhood is done as full fledged as possible to craft the kind of populace who'd look at others the way Nazis did (except I'm not sure Israelis see anyone other than jews as equals; even among other jewish people there are levels; Arab jews are seen in a terrible light for example).

It's not that they lack empathy, it's that they're groomed to no longer view certain forms of life as alive. They're not "alive" they're animals. This is my heritage, my culture. My religion says we deserve to do this because we're special. If we don't kill them then they'll overrun us. They're naturally aggressive, this is a favor. We can have it both ways, a compromise. They're treated fairly before they die. It's notremoved, we're helping them to breed.

I have to disagree with this part; I've seen clips of Israelis talking and of Palestinian victims; Israeli war criminals genuinely enjoy torturing Palestinians; there was a Palestinian (doctor? Journalist?) who was told his family was killed (it was a lie) and it broke him, and he said the IOF thug who'd done it seemed genuinely happy to see he'd broken him; there's also them specifically shooting children in front of their parents. They genuinely enjoy terrorizing Palestinians, they're not trying to be kind in their own warped way, they know what torments Palestinians and they specifically try to engage in it; they stick Palestinians in cramped cells and then play almost deafening trance music for days on end; Ben-gvir literally talks about making a thousand Lebanese mothers weep for every weeping Israeli mother, he talks about kidnapping Lebanese women and children because he knows it'll pain Hezbollah members. They had their doctors perform procedures on Palestinian hostages WITHOUT anesthetic.

They're not trying to be merciful in their own way, they're trying to be as horrifically vicious as they can imagine against the Palestinian population; they do see Palestinians as less than animals.

I've seen a story of back in South Africa during apartheid where two white people stuck a terrified black man into a coffin and made him terrified that they were going to bury him alive; these kinds of monsters engage in this cruelty BECAUSE it torments their victims; they are not trying to be kind in their own way. You know those times when a part of you wants to do unimaginable evil to someone you really hate and see as evil, but your conscience is a very firm locked door that absolutely won't let that whim EVER get its way (even if you actually had the power to do it)? Apartheid believing white South Africans and Israelis don't have that block.

I really need to stress this: The red line, the absolute block, the conscience most of us have to not do the evil things we imagine even if we had the power to do so, they DON'T have that.

First, I never said that they're being kind in their own way, because that's not what I believe.

What I said is that they have been groomed and gaslit until they no longer see life as life. The alternative is accepting what they're doing is wrong. In order to keep this delusion up they resort to greater and greater acts. In The Wretched of the Earth Fanon describes interviews with colonial torturers. These people knew what they were doing was wrong, it actively bothered them and haunted their dreams. So what did they do? They doubled down. Because they believed that nobody would torture a human, and therefore these must not be humans.

I used to work at a slaughterhouse. There were three kinds of people who worked there: The ones who quit, the ones who broke, and the ones who embraced it. I watched them do unimaginable things to those animals. All the while insisting that it's ok, because they're just animals. Things so depraved that not one damn thing out of Palestine has surprised me.

It’s not that they lack empathy

I feel like they do. You know on account of all the indiscriminate mass murder of men, women and children alike.

Cuz, this ain't Lenin, you can't just skim the first line and say you read my comment. Go back and try again.

Even the Canadian/American colonizers at least had enough empathy to try and brainwash native children. Still a horrible and barbarous practice that aintrael finds a way to be worse than.

[–] jack@hexbear.net 10 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

They only arrived that after literally centuries of violent eradication

[–] ggtdbz@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 4 hours ago

Most Zionists in the entity, so far as I understand it, are also relatively comfortable with enclaves of defanged, culturally uprooted people, who they totally wouldn’t kick out of their land and/or mortal coils when the time is right no sir

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 9 points 16 hours ago

Honestly I'm reminded of something BE once said, that even early during the colonization of North America that there were so many people defecting to join Native Americans that even Benjamin Franklin talked about it, about 'going native'. Conversely there are very few anti-zionists in Israel willing to put their bodies on the line to protect Palestinians, to the extent he was willing to say you could probably count them on one (two?) hand(s).
