Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

All those blood transfusions and his daily routine don't seem to be stopping the inevitability of aging.

It would be real cool if he and Elon tried some experimental gene therapy and became tumor riddem monsters like Ted Faro did in Horizon Zero Dawn.

Now there's a dystopia that seems less and leas far-fetched: an autonomous AI military drone swarm capable of self replication and using biomass as fuel goes rogue and starts devouring all life on Earth. They went rogue because of the hubris of the world's first trillionaire removimg their safeguards.

Combine that with the Fallout games' Vault-Tec, the company that became largest in the world by selling vaults to protect people from nuclear war, being the ones that start the nuclear war so they can use vaults as captive laboratories for social experiments.

Alongside Mike Judge, one or both of those stories could some day be seen as prohecy.

Without money, this asshole would be forced to stand out on the street with a sign and have people ignore him. Or, I guess, more recently, to be that Crazy Uncle Liberty guy that loves to share stupid Facebook memes.

Also, the notion that the Chinese are "Communists" - LOL.

This is the 5th post I see about this on Lemmy, within a few minutes. Why is Lemmy overflooded with bullshit said by tech billionaires? Stop give assholes like this any attention. Do not spread their word. They want to despabalize the world for their own gain and you are helping him. Negative attention is also attention. Treat them like the crazy neighbor: just ignore them.

[–] Cherries@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Unlike your ceazy neighbor, Peter Theil can influence the direction of the US government. He's the reason why Vance is VP. Ignoring him just lets him continue advancing his agenda unchecked. Mentioning stuff like this helps explain why people like Theil should be cast down from their positions of power. That's also important because not many people know why Theil is a bad person.

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 13 minutes ago

So your solution is to give them a stage?

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

OK, here's what we've got: the Rand Corporation, in conjunction with the saucer people, under the supervision of the reverse vampires... are forcing our parents to go to bed early in a fiendish plot to eliminate the meal of dinner… We're through the looking glass here people!

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

Don't forget about the Fascist Communist Muslim Atheist Cabal and their effort to deploy Jewish space lasers with the Illuminati!

[–] Snapz@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Besides the point, but that dude is super vain AND looks more and more like Frankenstein every time I see him - Weird fucking people on so many levels

[–] sunbrrnslapper@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

This guy is a nut. We shouldn't be giving him any attention other than to dismiss him.

[–] grimpy@lemmy.myserv.one 4 points 1 day ago

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

That's what the antichrist that's secretly running the world looks like?

Jesus fucking Christ. Like, I'm not usually one to mock or judge someone for their appearance...but...like....wow. Dude has all the time and money in the world and he chooses to look like the bastard child of Herman Munster and Gollum, stricken with fetal alcohol syndrome?

Man I had hoped that the guy running the world would be a little more handsome. Isn't he supposed to be gay?

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 4 points 1 day ago

Peter, honey, nobody cares what you think.

[–] NinthGladiator@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago
