I used to think we needed to add 4 more seats to SCOTUS, but I no longer believe that. Now I believe we should add 20 seats, with rolling term limits. SCOTUS shouldn't be so small that one bad faith president can manipulate the system and negatively affect policy for the next century.
I like the idea of a new justice being appointed every year or two. Maybe some extra rules to avoid senate shenanigans. No actual limit, just a constant stream of new judges to hopefully dilute the power of newindividual.
Yeah this bullshit that you can’t appoint a justice in an election year and then ram one through in the last second just because your republican is infuriating. Fuck Mitch McConnell…
That's one more example of Dems failing us. They allow MAGAs to just make up whatever rules they want, and they don't push back at all. Those SCOTUS appointments were totally unConstituional, and the MAGA comedy act of Schmuck & Jeffries did literally NOTHING about it. All they had to do was play Hard Ball, and force the MAGAs to follow the rules, laws, and the Constitution...y'know, their jobs...but that seemed to be too much to ask.
When we take back Congress, those two losers need to be investigated. They couldn't have been more useful to MAGA if they were paid, and we need to find out if they were. Treasonous Democrats need to go down as hard as MAGAs.
Totally agree. Well except for the when part. I’d say it’s more realistically if. I still expect these asshats to do something drastic and the best response is a strongly worded letter.
Elections, courts, laws, and representative government aren't things that will stop NAZIs.

The courts have stopped this administration dozens or even hundreds of times, I've lost count by now.

They haven’t stopped shit. They have told the Trump admin to stop. And then they just say fuck you and do it anyway. Or even if they are stopped they then go out and find a loophole. So please forgive me for not having faith that the courts are going to stop the Nazis. The courts sure didn’t stop the Nazis in Germany and they were still running right up to that last election where the Nazis killed all their political opponents.
Of all the decisions he lost with the court, this is the one he wants them to rehear? This one has I've of the weakest legal arguments to begin with.

I've seen people comment (possibly sarcastically) that it's a problem because illegal immigrants can just come in and have a baby and they'll be eligible to be president in 35 years. As if becoming president is an easy thing just anyone can do.....oh
Seriously though, I don't see an issue with someone born to non-citizens becoming president if they've lived in the country all their lives and are able to get the support from voters. Why does it matter who their parents were?
People do travel here to have their babies so the baby can have u.s. citizenship. I can not give you a number off the top of my head but….
