He's functionally a Republican anyway. Why spend Dem party campaign mpney on him?

[–] uberdroog@lemmy.world 6 points 2 hours ago

I mean the party has really already left him. No sane person who calls themselves a member of the Democratic party would consider him viable.

[–] mcv@lemmy.zip 11 points 3 hours ago

It doesn't have to become anti-Israel, just anti-genocide. Would that be a deal-breaker for him? (I wouldn't nind seeing him replaced anyway.)

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 13 points 3 hours ago

He's been tarnishing the Democrat brand since he arrived.

This MAGA hack needs to be kicked out yesterday and let him caucus with the lunatic right which he loves so much.

[–] Kazumara@discuss.tchncs.de 30 points 4 hours ago

The sooner he fucks off the better.

[–] FunStuffIsFun@eviltoast.org 13 points 3 hours ago

Dude already left. Fuck off and die already.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 10 points 4 hours ago

Who cares what this assbag will do. We know he had a incident (a stroke) where he finally realized he was gonna die one day. Most of us become more human when we face a possibility of death. He had one and became less human.

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago

He left awhile ago

[–] SwissArmyKazoo@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago

Please let the door injure him on his way out.

Being pro-Israeli is the one common element that can finally bring the dems and repubs together again. /s

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 18 points 8 hours ago

Sounds like a win/win to me.

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 9 hours ago

Crimes against humanity have roots deep in the American culture. If support for genocide stops, then that's it. I'll leave.

No one gives a fuck you Walmart looking motherfucker

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 hours ago

Hey! My people are Wal-mart people! (But a slightly better class than those other Wal-mart people though. Ugh.). /s

[–] CoolSouthpaw@lemmy.world 8 points 10 hours ago

Fucking piece of shit. Just leave anyway. Literally ZERO Democrats will give a shit about John Fetterman.

[–] pineapplelover@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

The funny thing is the Democratic party is incredibly Pro-Israel

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago

Yeah, they suck too

Fetterman can suck an exhaust pipe though if he wants to make the world a better place

[–] Heikki2@lemmy.world 66 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

Man. Brain damage did a number of him. Gabby Gifford was shot in the head and didn't turn conservative

[–] TranscendentalEmpire@lemmy.today 22 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Because he was already a shitbags before his stroke. The stroke just made it harder for him to hide his power level.

Fetterman was just a rich kid who's daddy's money has backed his entire career. His dad is the owner and CEO of an insurance company and is a long time big Republican donor. Fettermans entire career has been faking blue collar credentials while being an asshole contrarian.

When he was mayor he raised prices for locals by turning his town into a vacation town for his rich friends. He also held a random black jogger at gun point because he suspected him of doing a crime. His constituents and coworkers hated him.

As Lt governor he barely showed up to work and missed one third of the mandatory state Senate sessions he was supposed to oversee. The guy has always been a lazy asshole, the stroke just made it come to the surface.

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 24 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I've seen comments from people in his constituency that said the stroke didnt change shit, that he's always been a piece of shit, even before he was in public office.

YOU CAN'T FIRE ME, I QUIT.

Fuuuuuuuck you, dude

[–] RaftDespairPoise@lemmy.zip 10 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

He lies and says he’s another Dem
Don’t vote for Fetterman
He simps for MAGA, he schemes with Reps
Don’t vote for Fetterman
Don’t vote for Fetterman
Don’t vote for Fetterman

[–] unmagical@lemmy.ml 169 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

I mean you basically left the left the moment you had a stroke.

[–] rockSlayer@lemmy.blahaj.zone 52 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

He was never with the left. He succeeded where Platner failed: using the desperation for left wing politics to advance right wing causes

[–] Rooskie91@discuss.online 14 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

He only ever appeared left because he hired a bunch of young people to run his campaign.

As soon as he was elected he stopped appearing to be progressive because he either fired his election staff or they quit when they realized who he really was.

Before he was a senator he was a mayor of a small town in the middle of PA and held a black man at gunpoint because the man was going for a run in the town he was mayor of.

He's always been a piece of shit.

[–] tabarnaski@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 hours ago

No need to rewrite history to fit the current narrative: as mayor, he was rather left leaning, even though he used questionable tactics. The problem is when you go to Washington, a lot more money is involved. He's just easy to corrupt.

[–] Voroxpete@sh.itjust.works 25 points 15 hours ago

Jesus dude, you didn't need to sweeten the deal, I was already for it!

[–] NM_Gringo@lemmy.world 42 points 17 hours ago

Don't wait. Leave now you stroked out bitch.

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 87 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

The chances of Dems adopting such a stance are approximately 0. All Fetterman is doing here is proudly proclaiming who he works for.

It’s a shame PA doesn’t allow recall elections for elected officials, and I sincerely hope Pennsylvanians tell Fett to fuck off to Tel Aviv in the ‘28 election.

Yuuuup. I think it's well past time to let Temu Uncle Fester go.

[–] gdog05@lemmy.world 15 points 15 hours ago

"Man who is leaving the party anyway tries to get extra concessions on his way out." FTFY

[–] Steve@startrek.website 15 points 15 hours ago
[–] SailorFuzz@lemmy.world 80 points 19 hours ago (5 children)

this is why there needs to be a recall mechanism for congress and senators. Dude ran as a Democrat and is now saying "haha, Ima go be a republican now" and all the people who voted for him can do nothing for 6 fucking years.

Bye 👋 He's essentially a Republican anyhow.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 10 points 14 hours ago

Where's the catch? I see no downsides

[–] Donebrach@lemmy.world 4 points 11 hours ago

Fucking dishonorable Klingon from the jump; can’t believe no one else noticed.

[–] ToiletFlushShowerScream@piefed.world 26 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

So he will sell out his own countrymen for loyalty another country? What happened to when you could be hanged for being a traitor?
