In rehab a couple years back I checked the director of the program because he said people with gender dysphoria shouldn't transition and should focus on AA instead. I told him that's hurtful and probably the reason why they're using is because of said dysphoria. He called me weird and said I should stop talking to trans people online

MANPADS does sound like one of those hyper-masculinity-as-a-grift type of products. Maybe selling "tactical manpads" as an alternative to diapers for old people will be a viable business in 20ish years, when most of the war on terror vets reaches the age of incontinence
Yeah, don't talk to trans people or why they might be dealing with substance abuse, what would they know? Dysphoria has no relation to substance abuse issues, why would it ever? You should be visibly uncomfortable with yourself all the time, that will help curb your addiction
