Maybe we can kill AI if we make it the next Satanic Panic
That would just make AI seem cooler and have even more kids using it.
That might work. But the real way to kill it is to make it suddenly and extremely unprofitable. It’ll die in a matter of seconds if that is the case.
Is it profitable? My understanding was that the majority of companies are burning capital trying to figure out a way to make it profitable.
Is that wrong?
It's profitable in that it gives investors a giant pit to shovel money into. OpenAI has never ever turned a profit on its product, not even when accounting for the $200/mo subscription levels. The only way they look like they're profitable is by getting huge amounts of investor money.
