it recently occurred to me that I have 0 albums from the current year in my music library, and I need to amend that. so what are some good albums/singles/etc from 2026 that resonated with you?

Tinariwen and Teddy Afro's new albums, Hoggar and Etorika, stand out. My favorite tracks from them are "Erghad Afewo" and "Sememene (GuReggae)".

Tarwa N-Tiniri also released a new album, apparently. I'm listening to the titular track "Zaman" as I write this. It's pretty good. If you like Tinariwen you'll like Tarwa N-Tiniri, too.
