That's true enough. I remember hearing something about some of them in some making even this difficult, like refusing to work with HDMI input without internet connection or looking for wifi networks it can connect to without your input either way but maybe I'm just being overly pessimistic about it. Been behind the times so long I'm not really sure what the state of things is. I'd heard stuff about buying commercial displays and then got a bit discouraged about the idea given their expense and relatively "worse" performance as a tv in general. I don't necessarily mind sticking with HD and nothing much better than the best 2014 had to offer but I'd feel a bit pissed at paying through the nose for it. It's also apparently near impossible to actually buy a commercial display as an individual consumer.
