Is that really how YouTube works? On Twitch, I get thrown random gifts subs from channels I've watched for like two minutes or possibly not at all, and I've never heard of gift memberships being automatically refunded. Seems strange that they'd just pass up on money for no reason.

Yeah it would be a weirdly pro-consumer choice for Google of all companies.

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago

could be regulatory

They've lost like 80% of their viewers.

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago (2 children)

It's not at all how it works. The tweet is just someone making shit up.

[–] sneakypersimmon@lemmy.today 9 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What would an H3H3 fan gain from making this up?

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The twitter post is very obviously not from a fan.

[–] sneakypersimmon@lemmy.today 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The screenshot that is embedded in the tweet is directly from the H3 subreddit from a fan.

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah. When did I say they were making anything up? Highest reading ability from someone believing this on display.

[–] sneakypersimmon@lemmy.today 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Have you hit your head or something?

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You are not very smart. The person who is making things up is the person in the tweet. They invented the reason. Not the H3H3 fan.

[–] sneakypersimmon@lemmy.today 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You have no idea how far this lore goes lol

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah, I can tell by your other comments that you don't have anything better to do. You can't even keep the story straight, you're so "far" into it.

[–] sneakypersimmon@lemmy.today 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Damn, what is it like to be an H3H3 fan in the year 2026?

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm not. You're just making stuff up and then wasting people's time when they tell you. You won't even acknowledge that you were completely wrong about what I was saying.

[–] Flyberius@hexbear.net 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You're both just fucking awful, please stop

[–] Kumikommunism@hexbear.net 1 points 1 week ago

Well, no, I'm correct. I just wanted to see where it went. You can be annoying and correct, but being annoying and wrong is really bad.

Have you hit your head or something?

[–] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Literally no reason to be like that right now.

[–] sneakypersimmon@lemmy.today 2 points 1 week ago

I’m not the one being an ass and accusing others of making things up and being stupid. But ok.

[–] AernaLingus@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago

Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured.
