~~Full Self Driving~~ Autobots— roll out

[-] ragepaw@lemmy.ca 29 points 4 months ago

Elon Musk makes lots of claims.....

[-] Hotzilla@sopuli.xyz 2 points 4 months ago

At some point these claims should be used in court as a fraud. You cannot just keep promising stuff and not deliver, it is by definition a fraud. He is not above the law.

[-] No1@aussie.zone 1 points 4 months ago

Full Self Driving will be available next year!

[-] ulkesh@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Careful, there are many Musk fanboys on Lemmy who get their panties twisted if you start attacking their idol.

But yes, he makes lots of claims, most, at minimum, are pure bullshit. Anyone remember the Boring company? Apparently they’re still in business…somehow.

Cyber truck took…. How long?

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

And is how big a fiasco?

It's like the Homer Simpson car made real.

This is amazing! Thank you for sharing

[-] Nfamwap@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

Wow! I know Musk is a knobhead, but some of the shit he comes out with is just...unhinged.

[-] herrcaptain@lemmy.ca 40 points 4 months ago

Oh, I didn't realize it was Make Insane Proclamations Day. In that case, I could become the richest person in the world if everyone else would just give me $1000.

[-] hark@lemmy.world 30 points 4 months ago

I must say, that person who dressed up as a robot for their presentation had some pretty sweet moves, but I wouldn't say those moves are worth $25 trillion.

[-] ocassionallyaduck@lemmy.world 20 points 4 months ago

Elon musk claims a lot of things

Why does anyone let him manipulate stocks like this by reporting on his insane ranting?

[-] ichbinjasokreativ@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

Tbf this kind of thing happens constantly with big corporations. Apple just held an anouncement event where they basically said that their operating systems will have chatgpt integration and suddenly they're the worlds most valuable company again

[-] ocassionallyaduck@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

There's a difference between software release windows, and "iOS 19 is going to be a fully conscious AI being named Siri, and will work on all your existing iOS devices, and your phone will be rentable as a second employable being that could earn you passive income or even work your job for you!"

Elon's lies are a magnitude removed from the simple announcements other companies know.

[-] Snapz@lemmy.world 17 points 4 months ago

Man who professionally claims things that don't happen, claims something!!!

Aren't we suppressed to be on or 3rd or 4th manned cargo mission to our fully built Mars base city at this point, elon? You absolute fucking hog-chested tool.

He's buying time to offload his newly gained bonus before he ditches tesla.

[-] bradorsomething@ttrpg.network 7 points 4 months ago

Do they rob banks or something?

Elon Musk said the company's jump into humanoid robots could lift its market cap by almost 50-fold.

Shit ~~My Dad~~ Elon Musk Says

[-] GCanuck@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

Hey he’s not exactly wrong. The company who can release humanoid automatons would very likely be the richest company in the world. Exponentially richer.

But I’ve seen what comes out of Tesla. I’m not betting that will be the company that does it.

[-] exanime@lemmy.today 7 points 4 months ago

Sure!... The year after full self driving cars are finally delivered

[-] MyOpinion@lemm.ee 5 points 4 months ago

I'm not sure that he's wrong about this, but it's a pretty unrealistic goal
