No, antivaxxers, anti-worker propaganda, climate change and fucking antisemitism aren't "mildly infuriating", this shit is fucking enraging.

Damn sounds like you're mildly infuriated by the type of content here.

Should there be a !fuckingenraging ?

[-] HidingCat@kbin.social 17 points 1 year ago

Absolutely, I think one of the small perks that come with moving out of Reddit is being able to create your own communities as you see fit.

[-] ultra@discuss.online 18 points 1 year ago

You could do that on Reddit, too...

[-] giotheflow@lemm.ee 10 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Kinda. If your sub on Reddit ever gets to a certain popularity you will be forced to fall in line with the beliefs of the head corpos or you will or be ousted and replaced by an in house puppet.

[-] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 11 months ago

There's also only one sub of any name, and if that gets banned or privated.. time to make "r/reallyfuckingenraging"

[-] gamey@feddit.rocks 3 points 11 months ago

I would join and post a screenshot of interesting comments in this thread! ;)

Allow antivaxxers to remain so we can treat them as the worthless pieces of crap that they are.

[-] amio@kbin.social 32 points 1 year ago

Antivaxxers are literally dangerous, if platformed - I personally and indirectly know people who very nearly accidentally killed themselves with that stupid bullshit - still might, actually. "Here to be contradicted" is a nice, optimistic thought. It doesn't work though: this is not reasoned debate with reasonable people. They are the pigeon on the chessboard.

[-] KarsicKarl@kbin.social 1 points 11 months ago

The only danger they pose is to themselves and the witless.

Having said that, they can be really boring and monotonous. Their arguments are gormless at best, and don't have the intelligence to know when their vacuous arguments have been shot between the water line.

Will they learn anything. Nope. They are immune to intelligence (see what I did there?).

What's your favorite breakfast food?

[-] STRIKINGdebate2@lemmy.world 13 points 11 months ago

Cookie Crisp.

[-] adj16@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

Well I’ll ask the obvious question then - can we start removing things that don’t qualify as mild? If so, what has been the issue up to this point: That users aren’t reporting these posts, or that you didn’t want to overstep in your capacity as mod?

[-] Zagorath@aussie.zone 17 points 11 months ago

Mildly infuriating: calling this place a "sub", which is short for "subreddit". On Lemmy it's a "community".

[-] Franzia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 11 months ago

I agree with OP. There's a lot of political energy in the comments and maybe a second, more political board, is a good idea.

[-] c0mbatbag3l@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Apparently there needs to be a "MildlyInfuriatingNonLinuxProblems" too.

Every other post is someone complaining about Microsoft/Apple products. Like Geez I hate them too but shit half of these aren't even real problems, you just want to complain about every little thing.

[-] cubedsteaks@lemmy.today 3 points 11 months ago

I know what antiwork is, but what is anti-worker propaganda? the same or something else?

[-] Zagorath@aussie.zone 3 points 11 months ago

Just from the name I'd say it's the opposite. Antiwork is a community/movement opposed to capitalist exploitation of workers. Anti-worker propaganda is propaganda which is against workers. Saying they're lazy, incompetent, don't deserve increased pay etc.

[-] cubedsteaks@lemmy.today 2 points 11 months ago

Damn, brutal. I haven't looked around enough but is that like commonly coming up in conversations here? Obviously enough that OP would be not thrilled with seeing it lol

[-] Zagorath@aussie.zone 2 points 11 months ago

Personally, I've never seen it on here. I'm just trying to translate what it seems like they were saying.

The great thing about fedi is you can make your own MildlyInfuriating and mod it how you'd like. If enough people feel the same way it will grow.
