I feel like this wouldn't even work, it's probably hard to say if it would because this would be impossible to study if anyone had ethics. The wording makes it seem like it's one crank that suggested it, which makes more sense than it actually being considered. Can you imagine one of your coworkers coming to you and telling you about this? pepe-silvia

There are plenty of case studies of women tragically rendered brain-dead still successfully delivering a child (though generally by C-section).
