Gonna drive to my aunts grave later. We lost her last week. I feel like it’s appropriate to go there again and leave some flowers. It’s not like I’m up to much work today anyway.

Later we’re gonna hide and seek some eggs. Then gonna have a brunch style dinner. Neither me nor my gf feel like cooking much today and we have been outside almost all day yesterday. Today will be a lazy day.

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 month ago

Sorry to hear of your loss. How are you with it?

[–] jeena@piefed.jeena.net 8 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

At the playground, I brought a little sieve and sifted the sand. I made two piles—one with fine sand and one with coarse sand. They didn’t turn out very big. Then my son suddenly got up and ran toward the swing, so I had to get up and stop him.

Now I’m drinking a latte.

Im not christian, so easter for me is just an additional day off hah x3

[–] fxomt@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Get a day off? On easter? Lucky, lol.

[–] TabbsTheBat@pawb.social 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

One of the upsides of living in a predominantly catholic country :3

Now don't ask me to list all the downsides, the tradeoff isn't worth it x3

[–] fxomt@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I live in an islamic country, we don't even get a day off on the most holiest (and most tiring) months 🫠

At least i can pirate without a VPN lol (same thing, too many downsides lmfao)

[–] TabbsTheBat@pawb.social 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Pirating here is super common too :3.. never used a VPN for it either hah :3

[–] fxomt@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 month ago

That's the best part of living in a third world country. Everything else? meehhhhhh :p

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 5 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I'm working so it's just another day to me. I'm exercising this morning which is good

[–] rustyfish@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

I am so sorry for the working part. You’re working in the health sector?

[–] Aurenkin@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Hope your work goes well. What do you do for exercise?

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Body weight stuff then boxercise. The more I train the more I can eat!

[–] Aurenkin@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Nice! Being able to eat more is definitely good motivation to push through

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 month ago

Absolutely!

Making rabbit stew!

[–] southsamurai@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Chocolate. I am doing lethal amounts of chocolate.

If I disappear for a few weeks, don't worry, it's just a sugar coma

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I passionately support this

[–] southsamurai@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

My mouth is full of chocolate right this second. And will be for the rest of the day :)

I hope yours is too!

[–] justsquigglez@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm quitting my job today to start a new one in a couple of days!

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Oooooh how are you feeling

[–] justsquigglez@lemm.ee 3 points 1 month ago

Feeling pretty okay about it, not like super stoked about it because I'm having to take a rather large pay cut. But my current employer has mistreated the shit out of me and I just couldn't take it anymore. Even if this new job ends up putting me in a similar position after a while, I'll at least have some new scenery and a new start.

2025 has been some bullshit to say the least and I'd like something positive to happen this year.

[–] sunbrrnslapper@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Kids got chocolate and candy (currently letting them eat that instead of breakfast). Husband is sleeping in. Later I'm going to take a nap. A pretty wild Sunday. 😉

[–] Xaphanos@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Having family, friends, and neighbors over. Total will be around 16 or so. We cleaned the house all day yesterday and still need another few hours to prep. Had to rearrange the furniture to fit the tables.

It's 7am now. Gotta get out of bed and get going. They'll be here at 2.

[–] CheeseToastie@lazysoci.al 2 points 1 month ago

Big day mate, kudos to you for your work. Good luck!

[–] Aurenkin@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

Day is almost over here. We had a pretty lazy day sleeping in. I went on a coffee run so my wife could have coffee in bed, we walked the dog and then been chilling. I'm playing some Stalker 2 which is pretty fun.

[–] then_three_more@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Eat chocolate eggs, eat hot cross buns, roast dinner (not lamb cause I don't really like it), couple of glasses of wine.

[–] Today@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

We put a brisket on the grill before bed last night. Kids will be over in the afternoon for early dinner. Didn't do baskets - everyone got to choose a t-shirt to order and there will be candy and plastic eggs with scratch offs inside. I will ask for help moving some furniture to prep for drywall work on Monday, kids will complain/resist and leave pissed off, and husband will be irritated about that. Yay...holidays...

[–] Flax_vert@feddit.uk 2 points 1 month ago

I went to my first Easter vigil, it was very special. My parents will come with me for a morning service, then we'll have a Barbecue!

[–] cheeseburger@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 month ago

Inviting my parents over for coffee and snacks. Grandkids will be doing their thing in the background after having a visit. Hoping that is enough.

No extended family in my life; it's just my wife and kids, my parents and my mother in law. So hoping to keep it low key.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 2 points 1 month ago

I didn't even know it was Easter until I heard my sister and dad arguing about whether or not the grocery store would be open today 🤣

[–] ZDL@ttrpg.network 2 points 1 month ago

Same thing I do every Sunday. A few chores and, sunlight permitting, maybe some photos for photo essays.

[–] Tomato666 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Bathroom DIY. New flooring. Finding it hard to motivate myself. Sunny outside right now...

[–] FireWire400@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Spent the easter weekend with my Australian relatives; it's been truly wonderful

[–] ChihuahuaOfDoom@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Nothing but sleeping, eating and working. I may run to the store in between sleeps though.

[–] Zero22xx@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 month ago

Sleeping, scrolling, occasionally getting up to eat something or make a cup of coffee. Wishing I'd gone slower with my weed because I'm probably out now until late in the week some time.

[–] Una@europe.pub 1 points 1 month ago

Fighting dysphoria with coffee and studying microbiology

[–] RebekahWSD@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Making ravioli for dinner since we couldn't afford lamb but that was on sale. I'm not Christian but husband is and asked to do something, anything for the holiday. We agreed ravioli is festive enough.

[–] IndianaJones@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 month ago

Nothing special

[–] Freshparsnip@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

Dinner with family and I got new the Hunger Games book as an Easter gift from my parents

[–] nevermind@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

Mostly in bed, trying to get over a bad cold.

[–] Doctor_Satan@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

I don't really celebrate holidays. But it's Sunday, and I usually get together with some family and friends for dinner on Sunday, so we are doing that. Nothing big, just a basic cookout.

[–] lvxferre@mander.xyz 1 points 1 month ago

A simple lunch in family, with some chocolate gifts for everyone. Afternoon was some people eating sweets and talking, some napping, and my nephew playing Roblox games. Myself barely did anything, it was mostly my sister (she brought an already baked fish from her home) and my mum (roasting some vegs).

[–] power@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)
