AFAIK, it's just shitty behavior towards the person he claimed was his best friend and band mate, Kyle Gass. KG made a joke about assassinating Trump, and JB disowned his ass publicly without even talking to him beforehand.

Idk if he's other flavors of shitty, other than standard Hollywood asshole, but throwing the person you've been working with for decades under the bus like that is pretty bad.

Jack laughed at it when Kyle said it on stage but then immediately afterwards the internal calculus of Kung Fu Panda probably making him like 100x more money than the entirety of Tenacious D's career made him instantly throw the comedy musical act into the sacrifice pit at least until the smoke cleared
