The Dem platform will always be to get people to vote blue without doing a single fucking thing that makes people's lives better. Honestly id rather kill myself than vote for these motherfuckers

[–] Nakoichi@hexbear.net 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You're in luck! They are trying their hardest to make sure those two options are one and the same.

[–] Monk3brain3@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Lol. Nothing a genocide party does will surprise me.

Honestly the vote blue crowd are a joke. They expect solidarity when they show none. And the people that give in and vote blue out fear for something worse are in an abusive relationship of sorts

[–] porcupine@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They expect fealty, not solidarity

[–] Monk3brain3@hexbear.net 2 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

True but I dont know if they realize it. Like liberal vote blue types will say you are stupid because "if Kamala won things would have been better." The leave out one word ie "things would have been better for ME." I'm sorry but why should I give a fuck if things would be better for people who are happy to ignore a genocide. And in the long run with climate change there is no real difference between Dems and Republicans, although the Republicans being so insane could destroy things fast enough to give a chance for something better. The Dems will oversee a managed collapse

[–] neo@hexbear.net 29 points 1 day ago

don't remember them undoing anything about the 2017 tax cut.

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 89 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Not a single voter will blame the republicans you idiot, the republicans will say this is your fault and their base will clap like seals and the rest will remember that you did nothing.

[–] VILenin@hexbear.net 20 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Democrats aren’t ineffective idiots, they’re actively malicious demons who are sick with glee at the thought of how much this is going to help their fundraising.

[–] Keld@hexbear.net 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

They're both, and given that all their "Let's let the Republicans smash stuff so we can fundraise of it" has failed spectacularly and repeatedly, at this point assuming any kind of Machiavellian intelligence is itself stupid. They're failing at basic pattern recognition.

[–] VILenin@hexbear.net 2 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago)

The image of democrats as poor little confused fellas is DNC-manufactured. The finances of big-shot Dems and the goals of their top-dollar donors have been anything but “failing spectacularly and repeatedly”. The dems have been wildly successful at their goal of keeping the left from any semblance of real power beyond the local level. The reason they keep failing to enact progressive policies even when they have a supermajority is because progressive policies are what they’re there to prevent.

[–] casskaydee@hexbear.net 2 points 17 hours ago

Has it failed? Have they not been successfully fundraising off of it?

[–] Eiren@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 day ago

I wish more people understood this.

[–] blobjim@hexbear.net 2 points 1 day ago

I think Democrats care more about how it benefits their stock portfolio than political fundraising.

[–] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 38 points 1 day ago

Not everyone! The rich suburban couple living in his brain will remember.

[–] adultswim_antifa@hexbear.net 78 points 1 day ago (2 children)

astronaut-2astronaut-1

This is just like how letting Roe v Wade get overturned created a permanent democrat majority. These dipshits have a whole parade of Ls and people rightfully hate them for it.

[–] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 34 points 1 day ago

Their entire fanbases solely exists on Reddit.

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 13 points 1 day ago

Like, no matter how racist and purely evil Republicans are, Democrats are just intensely dislikable if only because they’re fucking losers and no one likes losers, especially other losers.

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 60 points 1 day ago

nah I just remember how the minimum wage is still 7.25 because you thought the parmesantarian means anything

Their plan is to do something democrats have never done before: wag their fingers while saying i told you so

[–] OldSoulHippie@hexbear.net 43 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I hate "the whole world is watching" and "history won't be kind to ___" shit sooooooooo much

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 35 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It really is the ultimate justification for doing nothing. Not even "someone else will stop you, so I don't have to." but "Someone, at some point in the future will disapprove of your actions, so I don't need to do anything to stop them."

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 12 points 1 day ago

Are democrats just the Pascal's Wager of politics?

[–] UmbraVivi@hexbear.net 41 points 1 day ago

They literally have nothing except "We're not the other guy".

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 49 points 1 day ago

I will certainly remember his undying commitment to the genocide of Palestinians.

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 46 points 1 day ago

Gee I sure do hope I live long enough with my medicaid cut to vote in the midterms! so-true

[–] vegeta1@hexbear.net 28 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Lol and they say we're idealistic accelerationists i-cant

[–] footfaults@lemmygrad.ml 29 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Yeah that sure worked when it was the W. administration. "Out of power forever", "demographics is destiny" etc etc etc

"self impeaching"

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 32 points 1 day ago

It’s so ironic that Schumer wants Republicans to be “reasonable” again, as the only thing he’s capable of running on is “vote for us because the Republicans are unreasonable,”

[–] glimmer_twin@hexbear.net 14 points 1 day ago

Accelerationist Chuck

[–] Bay_of_Piggies@hexbear.net 27 points 1 day ago

Accelarationists

[–] MaxOS@hexbear.net 28 points 1 day ago

"we can fundraise on this"

[–] FnordPrefect@hexbear.net 20 points 1 day ago

the-democrat "And we'll really make sure they remember that we did nothing to prevent or stop it! And we'll really make sure they remember that, even when we have complete power, we'll reach bipartisan* solutions with the people they are supposed to hate!!"

* May actually just be GOP** solutions

** May actually just be capitalist's wishlists

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 20 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Schumer: “After Americans will get exactly what they voted for, they will suddenly not like it and change their mind and vote for us!”

Americans time and time again: “We love it! More please!”

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well I will say this much, based on what I've seen both libs and chuds didn't want trump to gut medicaid and social security since they rely on it themselves, it's trump's bougie hog base of jetski dealership owners and the big bourgeoise that wanted it for the tax cuts. I can see this coming back to bite trump in the ass, MAYBE, but who the fuck cares enough anymore to vote or keep participating in this wildly broken system?

[–] DickFuckarelli@hexbear.net 5 points 1 day ago

Just adding, the dipshit Dems in 2018 said that O'Biden was more or less going restore the world back to normal/decency/better times. They did fuck all. If anything these geriatric fucks made shit worse.

Then the galaxy brains on Reddit shit on anyone who can't stomach their neoliberal facist horseshit or their weaksauce candidates, but never ask who the fuck wants to play in these lose-lose games?

I'm so sick of this shit.

[–] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 16 points 1 day ago

"Will we do anything to fix the damage once we get the majority back?" Schumer then asked himself. "Haha. Hahaha. Hehehehehehehe. Good one, Chuck."

[–] pumpchilienthusiast@hexbear.net 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

not true, he also forced an amendment so its no longer (officially) called the big beautiful bill or something!

[–] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 6 points 1 day ago

I stand corrected.

[–] Bronstein_Tardigrade@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm always amazed at how long having socialized medicine can keep these people alive.

The nation was birthed by old entitled white men, and it will die at the hands of old entitled white men.

[–] Lyudmila@hexbear.net 5 points 1 day ago

But consider how it could also die at the hands of a few old entitled white women, too! hillgasm

[–] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 3 points 1 day ago

lmao you wont remind people about shit, that might have an inkling of success built into it.
