"Which Side Are You On?" is a no-brainer, but like what else?

One time I was out and about with a guitar and came across a picket line for a local healthcare union and I just played a bunch of boomer protest songs. Great time.

We shall not be moved

We shall overcome

Hold the Fort

Pretty much anything Pete Seeger, he made a ton of old religious hymnals into union songs that are fun for call and response acoustic guitar sessions. Also anytime they say union men or whatnot, just change it to union folk

Edit: Also this might be out of left-field but another type of song thats really fun to sing in groups is sea shanties. Here's my favorite: Roll the old chariot. I don't know any shanties with explicitly labor lyrics but you can kinda change the lyrics (e.g. "Oh a fair contract wouldn't do us any harm")

Joe Glazer has a bunch of bangers, e.g: "The Commonwealth of Toil," "Dump the Bosses off Your Back," "Working Men Unite."

Also "It Isn't Nice" by Malvina Reynolds.

You ain't been doing nothing if you ain't been called a red

Phil Ochs has lots of great songs, like "When I'm Gone" or "Ringing of Revolution" or "Love me, I'm a liberal"

I love vamprin by daniel kahn, but half the song is in yiddish.

The english portion of the lyrics might be worth learning:

The villainous vampires, the masters & tyrants

They suck from the worker the last drop of blood

& then you'll know just what they call exploitation

To search for a better life for you & your class

The worker will struggle for ever & ever

So join in the fight for we all must unite

& then you'll know just what they call exploitation

To fight for a better life for you & your class

β€œWe’re not gonna take it”?

Ugh, as much as I hate the song, it'd go over great
