I can feel myself getting happier in real time (hit 7'C last night and already my mood is improving) as the pitch dark silence of winter sets in. All the annoying birds migrate away, insects are all dead or hibernating, no rustling leaves, and most humans stop making sounds or going outside as much especially at night when I'm personally most active as a night owl. When my nostril hairs freeze together for the first time that year I'm positively ecstatic. I live further north than 95% of Canadians so even less daylight in the winter which is fucking great. The Sun < Vitamin D liquid drops. Go away, shitty fusion ball.

Yeah anything above about 24 and I'm dying. Meanwhile winter is nice and cold so I can just wear more if it's a problem

Fuck yes. "Winter depression" beats the shit out of summer exhaustion. Especially up here where the sun won't stay down long for most of summer.
Give me snow and ice so I can wear my good boots and coat.
I actually get summer depression if it's too hot and doesn't rain for a long time.

That's me, give me those dark cold days I can snuggle warm blankies when I get home. Fun fact: you can always dress more when you are cold but there is a physical limit to dressing less when you're too warm.
I'm definitely into it when I don't have to work. Turns out I don't hate winter or the cold, I just hate my job

It's easy on the eyes, and easy on the ears.
I love getting to work before the sun comes up and leaving as it's going down all while freezing my ass off all the time. It doesn't make me want to kill myself at all.

I love winter, and I love walking around when the city lights are on. It is aesthetically pleasing to me. I also constantly wear sunglasses on bright days. So yeah; I don’t mind limited daytime hours at all.
Better than summer time when it's 8pm and still fucking bright daylight.
Oh no the horror, a few more hours of daylight to enjoy after work. If only we could have more darkness in the day to really liven things up

Winter fan here. This is a problem, which is why the sun shouldn't rise until about 9:45 in the winter.

that is actually extremely my vibe. I used to work second shift, and third shift for awhile before that. is nice that the whole region is winding down. traffic is much more tolerable, grocery stores aren't busy, life is a bit quieter
Best part about winter, the quieter pace of things. An introvert's dream.

I’ll take that for sure. Absolutely loooove winter. I downright detest summer. It’s too bright, too warm, sweaty, makes me irritable and I’m less productive in general.
To quote The Weeknd: I come alive in the fall time. My mood improves, everything gets cosy and comfortable. Fall and winter bring nice things like christmas, hot chocolate, gorgeous colors in nature, nice sweaters, warm jackets. Absolutely love it.
