Piefed is ran by neocon propagandists, grass grows.

[–] goferking0 36 points 6 months ago

No wonder all the worlders are running so quickly to it

[–] ProletarianDictator@hexbear.net 7 points 6 months ago

The entire point of the project is to rewrite Lemmy in lib.

Liberals always do this, just posting an article from the Adolf Hitler Institute for Jewish Studies and then going “umm sweaty sorry but the fact that China killed a trillion billion uyghur is supported by studies, it has numbers so it must be true”

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 6 months ago

That mccaine institute is also just a link to The China Tribunal, an org claiming chinese organ-harvesting run by racist British barrister Geoffrey Nice, who also unsurprisingly served as a prosecutor in the UN trial regarding the former Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia, trying to pin war crimes on Milošević.

I hesitate to apply this expression loosely (especially since I am not Jewish), but if somebody asked for my honest opinion I would call this a blood libel: it is an unsubstantiated rumor of a collective abducting innocents to lethally extract something vital from them. If it doesn’t encourage discrimination against ordinary Chinese then it will definitely encourage ordinary Westerners to tolerate an upcoming war on the People’s Republic of China.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 40 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Yep. That's exactly why they've been claiming this stuff about China since the 90s, and have tried to distance it from the Falun Gong nonsense. Because they want to make people in the west think of Chinese people the same way people in Nazi Germany thought about Jews.

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 24 points 6 months ago (1 children)

lol, Falun Gong made that shit up in the first place and the McCain Institute article linked elsewhere in the thread talks about how China harvests organs from followers of the ”spiritual movements”.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 22 points 6 months ago (2 children)

What I mean is they try to pretend that "independent studies" and things have confirmed it, when every single claim about organ harvesting in China goes back to Falun Gong and 0 evidence. They try to dress it up with fake authority, because if they were honest, no one would every believe these claims.

[–] VILenin@hexbear.net 24 points 6 months ago

Falun Gong needs to make this shit up to distract from their own atrocities, namely setting children on fire in the 90s

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 19 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Yeah, my point was that it's a hilarious fool's errand to try to distance bullshit made up by a cult from said cult, because then you have nothing for proof.

Although ”trust me bro” is honestly good enough for most people to believe anything about Bad Country.

Organ libel perhaps?

unironic question: does the Fed in PieFed stand for fedposting?

ya if there's one thing I know about 110 year olds it's that they can easily survive a bowel or heart transplant or other major surgical procedure. the only foreseeable complication is rejection and that is avoided by having the clone donor. nothing else could go wrong.

[–] moss_icon@hexbear.net 36 points 6 months ago

China is literally Voldemort

[–] CloutAtlas@hexbear.net 35 points 6 months ago

That's a bingo! Completely unsubstantiated fever dream of a theory that would make Adrian Zenz jealous AND a Harry Potter reference.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 33 points 6 months ago

It is kind of fascinating in a way. People in the west are so used to our leaders being corrupt pedophiles doing the most awful and depraved things, that people have to concoct a whole mythology about how the leadership of the bad guy countries are actually doing worse things, just in secret, so that their western chauvinist worldview can remain intact as the west collapses.

[–] QuietCupcake@hexbear.net 29 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Literally, 1:1 the plot of a shitty 2005 Ewan McGregor/Scarlett Johansson scifi film. I would bet that's where this dipshit got that concept.

[–] miz@hexbear.net 6 points 6 months ago

and The Island itself was lifted from Parts: The Clonus Horror

In 2005, the filmmakers filed a lawsuit against DreamWorks Pictures for copyright infringement, citing numerous similarities between Clonus and the Michael Bay film The Island. The two parties reached a seven-figure settlement, the terms of which were sealed by the court.

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 6 months ago

Another one with this same plot is never let me go, from 2010.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 12 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Describing the plot of The Island but somehow managing to shoehorn Harry potter into it

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 6 months ago

Somehow they managed to slam a harrypotterism into a fairly common sci-fi story that even had several movies in the 2000s.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 40 points 6 months ago (2 children)

They are going to be lynching Asian people within the next 5 years, aren't they? They're really prepping the masses to attack anyone who looks even the tiniest bit "Chinese" as an evil monster that needs to be destroyed.

I hope my libs don't passively absorb this one. I've already had to explain the Falun Gong organ harvesting stuff to them, I don't need more fuel on that fire.

[–] muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 6 months ago

Its incredibly exhausting, because atlanticist media orgs repeat this stuff ad nauseum, so that even if we spend an hour educating liberals on the Falun gong, they'll just move to the next thing that validates their chinabad biases. Its hard to compete with the deluge of anglo-media coming out with yeonmi park style claims.

We need to consult the expert to confirm if this is true or not

[–] Wheaties@hexbear.net 37 points 6 months ago (2 children)

On the basis that we love hiding confessions in our accusations, I wonder if US private prisons have ever been found to pressure inmates into organ "donation"

[–] Thordros@hexbear.net 29 points 6 months ago

I wonder if US private prisons have ever been found to pressure inmates into organ "donation"

They actually don't. Not for any ethical reasons, of course; the conditions in American prisons are generally so poor that infectious diseases are common, making their organs unsuitable to donate. blob-no-thoughts

[–] mathemachristian@hexbear.net 23 points 6 months ago

There are reports of organs missing from people that died in prisons of the occupation regime of west palestine.

I'll keep that in mind if I ever need to find a highly qualified surgeon

You don't understand, they're also censoring Ai because it doesn't have an answer to what is a tankie

https://lemmy.sdf.org/comment/17422167

[–] alexei_1917@hexbear.net 17 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

Tbf, none of the chatbots have good answers to that. They bring up '56 and don't explain the fact that "tankie" as most folks use it today just means "commie I don't like" when used as a pejorative, and a stronger word for "commie" when used self referentially or affectionately.

Like, I'm a proud tankie, and that definition does not describe me very accurately.

Relax, Xi played Surgeon Simulator once, I heard he's pretty good at it too, but he's not ready for the real thing yet...
