Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Donald Trump has said the US will not attend the G20 summit in South Africa over widely discredited claims that white people are being persecuted in the country.

The US president said it was a "total disgrace" that South Africa is hosting the meeting, where leaders from the world's largest economies will gather in Johannesburg later this month.

South Africa's foreign ministry described the decision by the White House as "regrettable".

None of South Africa's political parties - including those that represent Afrikaners and the white community in general - have claimed that there is a genocide in South Africa.

Fuck this cunt. The USA should be disregarded until he is gone from office.

USA resident here, honestly even if we flip every R seat to a D (and hopefully some Is and some new party letter further left than D?) I still say keep your distance, clearly we can't be trusted not to go insane every 4 years.

Yeah, seriously. What's next, a general pardon for Klansmen and church-bombers?

[–] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 43 points 3 months ago

Good, the US isn't welcome at the World's table anyway. Fuck off and fix your Nazi infection.

He's just repeating some shite that Musk told him.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 23 points 3 months ago

Yeah that’s why he’s not doing the fucking job he’s supposed to do. It’s the . . . checks notes . . . Ah! Here it is. The white farmer . . abuses. Yes. Yes, a topic near and dear to his heart as everyone knows.

No it’s totally not that his blood has decided to just stop at his ankles and tell his circulation to fuck off, nor his fear of the AF1 stairs (or all stairs) nor the fact that he’s potentially days away from being exposed as a human trafficker of young girls for rape, nor the fact that his ischemic strokes keep happening as a lifetime’s supply of animal fat disintegrates in his brain, nor his significantly worsening dementia that leaves everything open to complete disaster at each and every moment he’s not occupied with something stupid by himself.

No. Not at all. Absolutely he won’t be attending because of the . . the thing that we mentioned before. The *checks* . . white farmer abusing. Obviously that’s terrible. And he won’t stand for it. Or whatever.

Funny because trump is the uncontested king of American white farmer abuse. I wonder how screwed farmers are going to be by snap ending. I’m guessing it’s going to be devastating. He’s kidnapping the farming hands, destroying their overseas markets with tariffs and scrapping food subsidies for Americans….lol who would have ever thought that one man could bankrupt and collapse the entire American food supply? Oh yeah and Vance is making a killing on bankrupt American farms with acre trader. Wonder how the American farmers are going to feel about their farms going to musk and theil’s South African Nazi friends at their expense?

Trump is nothing but bad for the country. Fuck him.

[–] tal@lemmy.today 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

He did stop minting the penny, which I think was advantageous to the US. Granted, his stated rationale was not actually why you'd want to do it, but...

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Bigger fish to fry

[–] aarRJaay@lemmy.world 17 points 3 months ago

[–] Bonus@fedia.io 16 points 3 months ago

Are these "farmer abuses" in the room with you right now?

[–] Voroxpete@sh.itjust.works 10 points 3 months ago

Thank fuck for that. Maybe they'll actually get something done this time.

[–] Prezhotnuts@lemmy.ca 9 points 3 months ago

Hopefully it's because his doctor doesn't want him traveling as much anymore.

[–] DarkDecay@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

Drowsy don doesn't have the energy for travel these days! Pathetic!

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 8 points 3 months ago

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Did those idiots let him watch TV again? They should fix the TV to a real news channel, and just stick a paper banderole to the TV with the fox logo...

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Jeremy Clarkson, briefly expressing concern before moving on.
