Congrats. You are both assholes! Now kiss!

[–] Shortstack@reddthat.com 23 points 1 week ago (12 children)

Lessons need to be taught, OP is using assholery for good. If i had an electric car id do the same

This is equivalent to an electric car parking at a gas pump because there’s no law saying an electric car can’t

[–] PlaidBaron@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

Ive park right behind an ICE vehicle and pulled the charging cable to my car. I didnt even need the charge. Just wanted to keep them from leaving until I was done.

I will be petty to punish others if need be.

If there are no consequences for your actions, you may see no reason to change your behavior. This person got a consequence and may change their behavior for the better in the future, making society better for all of us.

I'm confused. Is he the asshole the one that parked a gas car in an electric charging spot or the asshole who parked in two spots. Congratulations on your dual douche awards.

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 57 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The cars are right-hand drive, possibly located in Tasmania. So OP is the electric car owner that parked very close to block the gas car owner from entering his car through the normal driver-side door.

This makes so much more sense now.

Which dick are you?

[–] Perspectivist@feddit.uk 26 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Two wrongs don't make it right.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

Fonzie taught us all that in the '80s.

[–] PlaidBaron@lemmy.world 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

ITT: People who drive gas vehicles mad that someone called them out for being assholes and parking where they shouldnt.

[–] suodrazah@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

It's hilarious.

[–] Phegan@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago (3 children)

More evidence that cars turn everyone into entitled monsters.

[–] morphballganon@mtgzone.com 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Reduce your scope. No evidence it affects everyone, nor that there is causation.

Perhaps those people were already entitled.

[–] SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

I would argue where it does exist, it tends to be proportional to the price/size of the car.

Everyone is so sad lmao, as soon as they moved I fixed my park. They were in the last working charging bay (I know it's plugged in, but it wouldn't start charging), how else to make the cable reach ;-)?

[–] whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

should have put this explanation before 😅

[–] suodrazah@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Shouldn't need it.

[–] Noite_Etion@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago

Feels a bit like sinking to their level.

I'd hope the heat you're getting is because it's mostly

  1. Americans that can't comprehend that a steering wheel may be on the right (and as such your move is to inconvenience someone that has inconvenienced you).
  2. ICE drivers that don't understand that sometimes EV chargers are broken such that you need to park that tight to access the working charger (or trickle charging due to another vehicle using it, very much like the flow of petrol also slows).

We're 100% behind this action when a EV charger is "ICEd" as it is getting alot less frequent so the education is clearly working

[–] BreadstickNinja@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I'm American and was very briefly confused except that the steering console is clearly fucking visible through the windshield.

[–] suodrazah@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

No stress, I don't count down votes from America.

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You should learn to park properly.

[–] Zozano@aussie.zone 5 points 1 week ago

It was deliberate

To everyone who is complaining about my parking: enjoy going through life as a pushover.

I can actually be much pettier.

In these cases, I just call the police and watch from a safe distance to see how the police tows the car to a "better parking spot".

I like that V8. I do not like the owner.
