My guess? All his girls were 18+. Trumps weren't.

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 1 points 21 minutes ago

but still. they were trafficked girls

[–] DeceasedPassenger@lemmy.world 15 points 8 hours ago

I think you hit the nail on the head here. When he had an affair with Mrs Lewinsky, she was 24 while he was 51. Less than half his age, definitely looks bad. But she was well past the age of consent, not a child but an educated woman with a bachelor's degree. He 'liked them young', sure, but not that young.

Big Willy already found out once what happens when you try to deny.

Thus proving that he can, in some circumstances, learn from his mistakes. This puts him light years ahead of Trump.

That's the power of knowing you did nothing wrong.

Ask yourself why the fat orange utan in the White House isn't nearly as chill...

Having said that, regardless of actual criminal guilt, both fuckers are clearly in the same club of nauseating rich white elite.

[–] frankenswine@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago

hey! orang utans are pretty cool!

[–] GraniteM@lemmy.world 84 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Or, hell, even if Bill Clinton is a weird old criminal creep, he's still willing to throw himself under the bus to destroy another weird old criminal creep. He's in effect saying "Yeah, motherfucker, let's do this thing. I'm willing to destroy what's left of my public reputation if it'll take you down, too."

[–] bus_factor@lemmy.world 33 points 1 day ago (2 children)

He may have done stuff, but even if he did he knows it's not in the files. If it was in the files Trump would have released it by now.

This is probably the more likely one. I don't for a second believe that if they had something concrete on Bill or any prominent Democrat really they wouldn't have been blasting it from the rooftops already.

That is precisely my point. We need evidence.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 9 points 20 hours ago

Yeah my bet with this is that he kept it above the age of consent even if questionably low and maybe knew about more.

[–] a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (1 children)

We know he cheated on his wife, but Monica was 20+. Is there anything linking him besides "the Clintons?"

[–] MachineFab812@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

We won't know until we have them all? In the mean-time, its kinda weird for you to prentend Him and Trump and Epstein weren't all openly chumy with eachother for decades.

[–] a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world 9 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

The newest news regarding Clinton and Epstein is pretty old--bit so much for Trump. Clinton also argued to release everything. I'm not a Clinton fan, but I'm not seeing it rn.

Trump? Dude was convicted of rape and (among other things) bragged about walking in on children changing was a perk of owning a beauty pageant.

Be a grown adult and wait for actual evidence.

[–] MachineFab812@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

You want to stan a dude who bombed a bunch of people, privatized prisons, sabotaged public schools, almost doubled the prison population and was buddies with Epstien and Trump?

Be my guest, but don't pretend for a second that makes you the mature or more masculine or whatever person in this conversation. Low-standard status-quo-apologists gonna simp a dude with a saxophone no matter what I guess.

Nope. Don't even like him much. If he is guilty let justice come. Look back at my original post. I'm suggesting the preponderance of evidence suggests Trump hurt children, not Clinton.

Actually, I'm quite certain there is no evidence against Clinton--otherwise the Trump justice department would already be pursuing him as a distraction.

I think you are looking too hard for tribalism here, or perhaps you just need "my guy" to be as guilty as "your guy."

Truth is that Trump is just worse.

[–] Delphia@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Why does everyone seem to assume that Epstein offered every guest a sex trafficked child like offering visitors to your house a drink?

Also why does everyone assume that the only reason he got away with it for so long is that "literally everyone was in on it" and not that he was careful about who and how people were brought in.

Thats why the UNREDACTED files need to be released.

[–] BCsven@lemmy.ca 5 points 18 hours ago

Based on the number of videos and photos the FBI collected, it would seem he did business dealings (some was finance and some was geopolitical advising) and sussed out whom he could leverage. Recorded them in the acts to blackmail them later as needed.

There were some leaked documents on here today that were mostly underacted, and even the redacted portions you can highlight and copy paste and shows you the true text underneath. Its not The List, but it shows how deep he was in trafficking girls 12-17 on the island and had various shell companies setup to move money around and pay girls in different countries.

The lawyer that got him day release the first time seems to be involved somehow, like he had dirt on many upper people that the lawyers and judge didn't not want public.

[–] MachineFab812@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

He had multiple houses. The one on the island had a purpose. There's no reason for him to have brought people there who didn't already know all-about it.

Bill needs well-wishers who believe he's innocent today like Hillary needed the "Bimbo Squad" while he was in office.

EDIT: While I would looove for Bill to face consequences, the most baffling part of all this to me is the idiots "rising to the occassion" to defend him from consequences that we all know won't happen, or pretending that his reputation deserves to be squeeky-clean just because he almost-certainly won't be charged.

Why THE FUCK are y'all so worked-up about what's said about yet another rich old white man that is in no way, shape, or form any better than the rest? Is marrying Ms "super-predator" a flex in your world? Shut up and go sit at the back of the class with the rest of the deplorables.

[–] mindbleach@sh.itjust.works 25 points 1 day ago

More like, the power of knowing it doesn't get worse for you. The whole world knows he creeped on several teenage interns. But there's a shockingly glib record of who outright raped a child, and he knows he's not on it.

[–] slothrop@lemmy.ca 21 points 1 day ago

...and Trump is suddenly trying to align with him....

[–] But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world 2 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

Are we now gonna act like the Clintons are not awful abusers?

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 22 points 19 hours ago

Are we all gonna act like we care about the Clintons?
