Come on. Even a dickheaded MAGA imbecile must be able to relate to the absolute foul of someone interrupting a dump like this? If you can't see that this has gone way too far, you are so incredibly good at lying to yourself.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 28 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

We need a list of every one of these fuckers and so when they all get fired they are blacklisted from any other job forever.

[–] Modern_medicine_isnt@lemmy.world 5 points 47 minutes ago

On the surface that seems like a great plan. But that will give them time to go cause trouble. Idle hands and all that. Plus, when they run out of money, our taxes will pay for them. Same with if you put them in jail. The only obvious punishment should be to banish them from the US. Ya'know, deport them.

[–] Smoogs@lemmy.world 3 points 1 hour ago

Cmon, we can do better than that : jail them. Death row.

Every single fucking day there are headlines about ICE committing all kinds of atrocities, so there are probably 10x more atrocities commited that are not being reported in the news.

And I never see any headlines of any ICE agents being prosecuted.

WTF is happening in the USA. Are there no laws? No one to enforce them?

[–] PM_ME_VINTAGE_30S 22 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Are there no laws?

Not for the Epstein class and their lackeys (e.g. ICE, cops, politicians)

No one to enforce them?

Nope. Most of the people with the guns in this country like the violence.

[–] brygphilomena@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 hours ago (3 children)

While a ton of people have guns, I'm thinking most of the people online who talked so big about using them were bots or astroturfing.

No individual is going to hold them accountable. We need organization for that.

[–] floquant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 52 minutes ago

It's a bit sad seeing Americans completely unable to act without someone telling them what to do honestly.

Individuals absolutely held powerful figures accountable throughout history, but I agree that won't happen in the US

The ammosexuals are loving the fact that ICE is treading all over people. It's their team doing the violating of rights.

[–] AlecSadler@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 hours ago

If unidentified, masked agents show up on my property in an aggressive manner, I am absolutely opening fire and burying their bodies in the acreage of forests out back.

It won't end well for me, but we outnumber them. If even every 100th person took out at least one of them, they'd cease to exist pretty quickly.

There would be other ramifications, but we're getting there no matter what anyway.

[–] Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 42 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

I'm honestly surprised that ICE isn't getting shot more, with all of the shady and illegal shit they are doing. They really should.

[–] GaryGhost@lemmy.world 32 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

They target the most vulnerable and non threatening people. Moms and children. Guna are expensive, if they surprised you in the. Bathroom they wouldn't have time to react

[–] brygphilomena@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 hours ago

People are also going to have to weigh living, and getting deported and hopefully a short terrible period to possibly be happy again versus shooting at ice, possibly killing someone (which most people have a moral aversion to) and almost certainly being killed in return.

[–] IronBird@lemmy.world 6 points 3 hours ago

i know of atleast 1 case where they did, i assume there's more they're just not getting reported on (the revolution will not be televised)

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 7 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

The people are too pacified to defend their democracy. They think it's a spectator sport where showing up once every 4 years to check a box is all that's required of them. A lot of them don't even bother to do that. So instead they complain online and stand around with a sign at a No Kings rally two times in 11 months.

Americans, this is your democracy. It's your country and your future. Demand better.

[–] AdolfSchmitler@lemmy.world 6 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Nobody is ready to die for their democracy anymore and the elites know it.

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Then they'll live as slaves.

[–] AdolfSchmitler@lemmy.world 6 points 2 hours ago

They already do. Those who never move, never feel their chains.

[–] NGC2346@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 hours ago

The USA is the land of the free, and by free well, i mean free of raping and selling kids.

[–] Buelldozer@lemmy.today 3 points 4 hours ago

And I never see any headlines of any ICE agents being prosecuted.

There's been at least five this year.

[–] Zealotte@lemmy.zip 233 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Oh, hey, look. It's the men in women's bathrooms they feared for so long.

It finally happened!

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 51 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago) (2 children)

Turns out ICE was the real transgender pervert all along.

Not that there's anything wrong with being transgender and/or a pervert. But they think there is.

[–] MousePotatoDoesStuff@lemmy.world 38 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

The agent is MtF (Male to Fascist)

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 10 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

He was never a man. Real men don't punch down, and that's all these chucklefucks seem to be capable of doing.

Sorry for gatekeeping masculinity.

They were playing the long game...

ICE: Hey John, how do we get to peep on women in the bathroom? I don't wanna go to jail but it's great and I think we should all get to enjoy it!

ICE John: I know right! Let's start a crusade targeting trans women in women bathrooms so we eventually have a legal right to go in and force women to show us their private parts!

[–] Headofthebored@lemmy.world 36 points 5 hours ago

Judges need to start issuing arrest warrants for contempt of court for immigration officials who ignore legal documents such as work permits. That's the only thing that will stop things like in the article from happening. Also, as a reminder, crossing the border illegally is only a misdemeanor.

[–] zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.com -2 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

How long has ICE been a problem? And isn’t it quite obvious that nothing will change unless there is a different president?

I wonder why this is still news, as if there is nothing more important.

I get it, it is a huge issue and it is very important to document every single case, but justice can only be served after the republicans are gone. Until then, keep the material or send it to an attorney.

But it is not news anymore.

[–] PM_ME_VINTAGE_30S 16 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

How long has ICE been a problem?

Since it was created. Really, since INS was created, from which ICE was branched off.

And isn’t it quite obvious that nothing will change unless there is a different president?

I don't see why a different president would change anything. Remember: Tom Homan was originally an Obama appointee.

but justice can only be served after the republicans are gone.

Justice delayed is justice denied.

But it is not news anymore.

The fact that nothing is happening in response to this, Epstein, climate change, fascism, the rest of the polycrisis, etc., makes all these things more newsworthy, not less. USians need to see these things over and over and over until it makes them so nauseous that they can't stand to do nothing anymore.

[–] zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 hours ago

Thanks for sharing your viewpoint. Of course, we all want immediate justice. It is just not going to happen.

I am still very unsure if it helps using news for this topic, or if there are not other, more urgent things to talk about. We will see, I guess

[–] bstix@feddit.dk 6 points 3 hours ago (2 children)

Remember his first term? The one where ICE put kids in cages, lost a lot of them, and some died? Starting to ring a bell?

Then, do you also remember all the prosecutions against ICE agents during the following administration?

If you do, please link it, because I sure as fuck don't remember reading it.

[–] zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 59 minutes ago

I see what you are saying, but making it news will not fix this issue. They also had 4 years to prosecute Trump and failed. The problem is here, but you cannot fix it by making it news. That’s all I am trying to say. :)

[–] curbstickle@anarchist.nexus 3 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

Some were. As an example:

https://www.justice.gov/usao-wdtx/pr/federal-judge-finds-cbp-officer-guilty-using-excessive-force

There were also a number of them under investigation, but the investigations have stalled.

Nowhere near enough have been prosecuted or even investigated for that matter, but to suggest there is no difference under Democrats compared to Republicans would not be accurate.
