It isn't an argument: the answer is Mint.

[–] Ftumch@lemmy.dbzer0.com 26 points 2 months ago (6 children)

Linux Mint is what you recommend to noobs and normies. All the cool kids are using NixOS now.

[–] sorrybookbroke@sh.itjust.works 23 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Ha get with the times old man it's cachyos now. Even that's getting old though I assume some new shit will come into the spotlight soon

[–] alsaaas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

The real cool kids use the new gen of image based distros like Bluefin now 😎

[–] Ftumch@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 months ago (12 children)

That's just a less powerful version of NixOS' atomic updates.

TI Graphing calculator, not a graphic calculator.

I’ll see myself out thank you

I actually even double checked that it hadn’t changed since the last time I used one! Ha

They were really fun to play with during class though.

Where is admonish everyone else for not being exactly the right amount and kind of leftist?

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Mods will delete your comment and ban you immediately if you don’t follow the party line.

Actual discourse between different ideas, convictions, and worldviews is suprisojgly rare between Lemmyings.

Hey you- you reading this, try talking to someone on the fediverse who's perspective you dont understand. Share what you think and try to understand what they do :)

We're all just here escaping the corporate dystopia. Reject the engagement-centric rage bait socialization we've all been handed and be curious about whatever weird belief system or ideology that internet rando has. We can build a different culture here, its not too late

Meow for 90 minutes straight? This person knows nothing of the fediverse

[–] OpenStars@piefed.social 12 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Yeah, it's dye hair first (other acceptable colors are purple, pink, and so on), then meow for 90 minutes!

"for ninety minutes straight"

False. We don't do anything straight for any amount of time

[–] Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk 32 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Fake. No beans, moths, corn…

[–] OpenStars@piefed.social 13 points 2 months ago

Or jeans, pondering orbs, or Taylor Swift's jet... and not even one Star Trek/Wars/LOTR reference!?

[–] jif@piefed.ca 9 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Ya, I always watch some corn before I go to sleep.

4½ hours? Whoa look at sleeping beauty over here bragging about how much sleep they get.

Knowing it’s way past time to go to bed when you start to see memes in German on your feed

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 12 points 2 months ago

That's one way to tell time on the internet. The other way was while gaming and looking at the rise and drop of online players.

[–] mystrawberrymind@piefed.ca 29 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I’m the “It’s Day ___ and they still haven’t noticed me” meme😆

Blocking OP for lack of alt text.

[–] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 21 points 2 months ago (3 children)

It’s missing “debate who the true bringers of liberation will be: the Judean People’s Front or the People’s Front of Judea”

Next morning: Self-diagnose clear signs of sleep deprivation as being ADHD or ASD.

Next afternoon: Google a lot of stuff about neurodivergence but tell everyone you used Duck Duck Go.

Next evening: Look around Lemmy for comments to reply to with all the stuff just learned from Google, even if they're half a year old.

Next late evening: Remember to eat.

Next night: Stay up until 5am complaining about the man, anxiety, and ongoing struggles of a fried brain. Get 3 hours sleep.

I've been here since the APIcolypse, and I understood about half of the OP, but you get my upvote, anyway.

My defining moment of the fediverse is when I made a stupid joke asking about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and was told the short answer was Capitalism.

You neglected: Call everyone to the Left of you a "liberal" before bemoaning the lack of solidarity on the Left.
