I hope you’re right and I hope it isn’t Starfield with magic.

Thank you

“That's why they call it the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.”

This isn’t new either.

Fortunately it’s not an allergic reaction, mostly just an intolerance but I appreciate your concern :) /gen

I haven’t eaten red meat in years due to not reacting well to it, glad to see it’s also helping the environment 😄

My guess would be mental health.

Your rescues will fade in time, but you can never forget your recoveries. [emphasis mine]

“Recoveries” likely means finding the people who didn’t survive.

I think the biggest factor here is the immediate and tangible aspect of this type of theft.

Wage theft and systemic things are larger and conceptual until it hits, and more often than not because it’s so vague and not “just one person” it doesn’t evoke the same visceral response in a lot of people.

Not sure how we can start reframing to do so but getting on these conversations is a good idea for sure.

Pickles will never voluntarily touch my plate, and when they do I push my plate to the nearest pickle person so I don’t have to remove it myself and get contaminated with the vinegar.

Sun dried tomatoes and the occasional kalamata olive I can tolerate. Artichoke hearts and roasted bell peppers are awesome.

Grew up far north of the Mason Dixon and moved to a warmer climate; you’re not alone. You wrote out my thoughts exactly.

I curse every cold minute until I can wear shorts again because pants and skirts are awful and I hate long sleeves and socks and just all of it. That and the dark make seasonal depression go haywire even with the “shorter” winters.

Some days I dream of moving to western Ecuador where it’s ~87°F year-round.

Amazing how this is a genuinely lovely thing if you’re not a POS 😄

…the soil? That’s where seeds/spores are planted and subsequently grow into trees, and where they get their nutrients from.

Unless you’re talking about the seeds themselves, which are kind of a “shell” from which they literally branch out, depending on the species.

Generous placement on the starred quadrupeds to be honest

Reproduction is simply a means to make more gay.

Lightly edited to fit comm rules

Alt textTwo photo cut-outs of opossums, each with a pair of scissors photoshopped to look like they’re being held by said opossums. Orange text is overlaid onto a pink-and-yellow background that says “Screw the government: run with scissors.”

Found on Pinterest, source seems to be “The Anxious Opossum” on Facebook.

Mildly edited for salty language

It was a sunny Wednesday afternoon, and Larry was perched atop a neighbor’s fence soaking in the rays when he decided to find himself something to do.
