"The Secret Service came to my door today because of a tweet. No threats. No violence. Just words. That’s where we are now," she wrote on X in a thread about the ordeal.

She was asked about the comments she made online, and she made it clear, "I want to see their trials."

Calling for trials is a veiled threat? Fuck everyone involved with this administration.

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 147 points 1 week ago

Justice is a threat to them

[–] running_ragged@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago

Yes, because that is how the administration uses it, knowing the trials would not be fair or just.

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I have yet to see anything that shows what her tweets were. Is it in the article but I'm missing it because I block Twitter?

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago (3 children)

I block Twitter too so I'm going by what the article says.

He asked her again what she meant by the comment, and she made it clear she was talking about officials having Nuremberg-style tribunals for those who enabled unlawful behavior.

I guess they thought "lock them up!" would have been more appropriate? Due process is the worst, I guess

[–] Gaja0@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 week ago

They are preparing for the pendulum. Once they've trashed cities and ripped apart families, they want to make sure anyone brave enough to hold them accountable is silenced.

[–] not_that_guy05@lemmy.world 93 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Lol can't wait to see them at my door. I'm calling for the hanging them all and ice.

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 48 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Do it in the fash social media town square with an identifiable name and they will. Do it here where only we will largely see and they won't care. Until the rest of the world and the United States wakes up and ditches these fascist platforms. The fascists will gleefully use them as easy surveillance and intimidation.

[–] halcyoncmdr@piefed.social 13 points 1 week ago (2 children)

If you think they're not monitoring the fediverse, I've got a bridge to sell you.

[–] mika_mika@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

The fediverse from my experience is so left leaning that just by simply existing on it I would presume means you're on a list for those in power.

I have been on fash media. This ain't my only social media that I use.

One thing that Trump's 2nd term has made crystal clear is that pretty much all levels of law enforcement are just filled with bootlickers.

Has there been even a case of one department or union siding WITH THE PEOPLE???

Or are they all just authoritarian living assholes?

We also need more liberals going into law enforcement, we've completely seeded those jobs to bullies and morons that get off on abusing power.

[–] untorquer@lemmy.world 16 points 1 week ago

You don't go into law enforcement thinking you won't be shooting someone in your career. You have to want to use force on people and abandon empathy for humans just trying to survive.

Liberals are ill-equipped and it's antithetical to the left.

I thought secret service only visited those who make violent threats against the president.

This seems new.

[–] Soup@lemmy.world 33 points 1 week ago (4 children)

To cowards, this is violence.

[–] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

Credible violent threats specifically.

Trump corrupts everything he touches.

I'm too want to see trials for Trump officials. In the Hague.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Well if somehow law and order stands when this fascist party falls from power. I want to see every congressmember, and white house seated posting tried for treason. If they voted for something or publicly supported something they knew was false or damning to the population, they should be found guilty. And since we haven't waved the death penalty, I think we should encourage them to remove it.

If they approve the removal of green cards, we should remove all citizenship from their bloodline. It's what they want, take the trash out

(Also yes, many Democrats will be found guilty as well, your votes should forever be public. You are a representative, a civil servant, you are supposed to be a slave to the population, not the other way around)

[–] Mantzy81@aussie.zone 8 points 1 week ago

I'd be happy with Nuremberg too, as they love fascism that much, lets give them another piece of it.

[–] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 45 points 1 week ago (2 children)

To be clear, I wanna see them all [redacted], every last one of them, all need to be [redacted]. There's no other way to do it, they all need to be [redacted].

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah but I hope they all die.

Come on Secret Service, come after this white, cornfed Iowa boy, it'll look great in the headlines. Whit privilege on the line, fat fucks.

Even insinuating that the law should apply to rich fascists is illegal now. All hail the mobster crime lords, may they live to lie, cheat and steal for all ethernity. Blessings.

[–] spaghettiwestern@sh.itjust.works 36 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'd like to see the official GOP sponsors of deportations without Due Process deported without Due Process.

Just a reminder - I'm sure Kamala's admin would have been just as bad in every way. But at least under Taco, no one is getting killed in Gaza, right?

What, she didn't use her broom as a deadly weapon, making them fear for their lives?

[–] Digit@lemmy.wtf 26 points 1 week ago

I want their trials to be seen by her.

[–] GreenBeanMachine@lemmy.world 22 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Shouldn't have even opened the doors for the pigs. Not to mention engage in a conversation as if they deserve any decency. Boot them off your doorstep, immediately.

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 13 points 1 week ago (2 children)

On one hand I feel a bit for this guy. He knows it's bullshit as much as she does. But on the other hand, he's still doing it for the pay check so fuck him. It's gotta be degrading. But it's amazing what people will ignore to maintain an appearance of stability.

[–] pageflight@piefed.social 18 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Making worthless widgets for corporate overlords for a paycheck? Sure, I sympathize. Taking other's livelihoods, safety, and comfort so you can have your own? Nope.

I have negative sympathy for him. As in he should suffer for working for fascists and enabling fascism.

I want Trump arrested and put in jail. Can't wait to see it happen. I wouldnt recommend a visit Mr SS ... my state has some really fucking wild castle laws.

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago

I want to see trials in front of the international criminal court, and I want to see impeachments and trials at home. I want JUSTICE for the countless laws broken.

[–] yonderbarn@lazysoci.al 18 points 1 week ago

Can't wait to shit on his grave

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago (2 children)

That human thumb is Secret Service?

looks like they're using ICE's hiring standards

There should be trials, and when they're found guilty of sedition and treason, they should rot in prison.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

This administration is openly hostile to American citizens. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to have a president who only serves the people who voted for him deserves to reap what they sow.

[–] Feedback17@lemmy.world 12 points 1 week ago

Remember when it was easy to compare anyone who supported Trump to a Nazi? Now, it's an insult to Nazis.

[–] UltraMagnus0001@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

More secret police stuff

[–] MisterCurtis@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

I want to see their trials too. All of them.
