CHAZ can never be occupied, for it lives in our hearts

[–] Beaver@hexbear.net 48 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

This is combination of fact and fiction.

Obvs the "autonomous zone" stuff is bullshit.

The twin cities mutual aid groups have had to quickly establish a network of spotters and chasers for ICE vehicles and abductions. The point is to be present when abductions happen to record what's happening and alert the neighborhood. Right wing agitators are also a target, but the mutual aid networks are swamped with other tasks. What he's describing has some basis in reality, and I'm sure he did get spotted and followed... probably because he was being conspicuous, and people are on alert.

[–] meme_historian@lemmy.dbzer0.com 20 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

The point about "being present when abductions happen", made me wonder if it might be a good idea to step up the ops and rope in FPV drone pilots. Provides footage and annoys agents without putting people in harms way

[–] mattyroses@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

DIY drone construction is absolutely the most vital skill for the left to be developing and sharing.

I disagree based on the last few years it's 50/50 that and tunnel digging

[–] wizardbeard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Could be good, but could also be jammed. Have they been jamming cell and/or bluetooth out there? Also could be in violation of FAA laws (not that it really matters here).

Fiber optic drones are a thing

[–] SerialExperimentsGay@hexbear.net 52 points 4 hours ago

I did not see anything like this when i did war crimes in Iraq

Maybe because Minneapolis hasn't been strangled by more than a decade of sanctions while getting bombed over and over again before you invaded. You not marching alongside a million other fascist dogs of the empire this time while your victims get shock and awed may also play a role.

Infiltrators just murdered 2 people, and he expects infiltrators to not be scrutinized?

[–] came_apart_at_Kmart@hexbear.net 91 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

in contrast, i am able to move in and out of towns and cities all over, because i am not a universally reviled, lying asshole.

indeed, the working class is everywhere.

They publicly executed two normal looking white people in Minnesota.

Obviously, this country is totally fucked and the bozos in it are impossible to predict and decipher but I think, maybe the chuds are biting off more than they can chew? Chuds talk a lot about their crazies but there’s just as many otherwise politically inactive wackos out there, and the people being radicalized have far bigger motivations than being slightly annoyed by some person eating fried chicken and dressing up as girl. This is going to spread beyond the enclaves ICE is trying to concentrate its terror, into Main Street and the rich suburbs.

How committed are they to living in an Israel like state? Being surrounded by Gaza conditions? That took 60+ years of consent manufacturing and while the oppressive conditions in America have been in place for centuries, the libs in America figured out the perfect system of insidious oppression not out of good will but out of necessity; there’s a reason why the status quo existed. They’ve lived in the comfort of anonymity forever, hiding their evil intentions through mealy mouthed language, are they ready for confrontation? So then, they’re going to want to eliminate us asap but you can’t kill every undesirable in seconds, are they really ready for what comes before that? I’m sure some of them are, but there’s a lot of comfortable middle class libs out there that would prefer not to be marked as klanners on sight

Apolitical/normie YouTuber Penguinz0 has made at least two anti-israel videos and this week covered the second ICE observer shooting and was heated about it too (he is a 2A guy).

Americans move sowing fascism but the brutality it requires is too much to handle (which is why it's been exported overseas for several decades). The underclass at home is supposed to be largely non-white and generally compliant, but as we know, heightening contradictions make that unsustainable. The choice is barbarism or socialism, but the average American doesn't actually enjoy the taste of raw barbarism.

Regardless of the game they talk, 80 percent of the population is just liberals that want someone else to eat shit quietly so they can skim off the superprofits.

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I think the political calculus by the bouge is that economic collapse is coming very soon and this stuff will become a lot more palatable once that happens.

[–] spectre@hexbear.net 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

That's probably their calculus but I think they're wrong about that too. They can't pull it off with no carrot and they are so greedy and lacking in foresight that they just eat all the carrots they get themselves instead of offering one to the working class

[–] miz@hexbear.net 6 points 2 hours ago

it's a game of chicken and they want the other bourge faction to make concessions first

I think he's becoming much less apolitical lately, seems like he's on track to be anti-asmongold for the gamers

[–] spectre@hexbear.net 9 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Possibly, but I think hes always going to be a few steps behind, although that gap might close up a little bit. He only commenting on the most egregious offenses that leave prey much no opportunity to deny or deflect.

I don't think he needs to be very political, I think its useful as a barometer for "coworker brain" so I can have an idea is where they are at on a given week.

[–] invalidusernamelol@hexbear.net 5 points 2 hours ago

I'm glad that all my co-workers are lefty. Only like 2 that are strictly in the grillman zone.

Do agree that he's always gonna play the "I didn't want to have to do this" role, but his much more frequent political posting is making it clear that his mentality is becoming harder to maintain.

[–] BilduEnjoyer@hexbear.net 10 points 2 hours ago

We’re in brand new territory so it’s hard to predict how things are going to play out. Also I’m a layman and I’m not as well read in theory as the other people here- but I also feel that CHUD’s are biting off more than they can chew.

This isn’t 1930’s europe. People don’t live in villages and get their news from one newspaper or a guy screaming it on a corner. Word of atrocities gets around near instantaneously and while things have been a slow burn for decades now the execution of two white people in the street seems to be snapping libs out of their comfort zones. I left the USA last year but I still keep track of my former local subreddit (My friends live 20 minutes from the border :/ ) and the mood has gone from “Oh, don’t overreact, you’ll be fine.” to “We need to build an armed militia right now, here is a list of guns I recommend.” and “Eat shit Dems, let’s go physically harass our politicians”.

"It's crazy, they have people everywhere"

Wonder how long it'll take for it to sink in that they are indeed the baddies and are universally hated in that city, like an occupation force would be.

This is not activism, it's just what any good upstanding citizen defending American values would do.

[–] Beaver@hexbear.net 23 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

He makes it sound like operatives are loitering on every street corner, instead of just "hey, I'm out and about and I noticed this sus shit happening, imma let the signal group know what's up"

[–] wizardbeard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 hours ago

Good point. I would hope it's a mixture of both.

But these people seem to have this crazy idea that anyone not openly resisting them endorses them. It's an important tool to show them otherwise. There should be no situation in which they feel welcome. They should be worrying that every pair of eyes could be reporting them. And it should be broadcast loud and clear that the situation is of their own making.

ICE under Obama did operations against supposed extra criminal illegals (sex traffickers etc) and also against "illegals" (people just living their lives while "not supposed to be here" 🙄). While it's definitely arguable they should have, they never got the kind of public resistance they're now getting under Trump. At the very least that needs to be made un-ignorable.

This whole situation is all the more damning because a certain amount of this sort of shit was acceptable as status quo. Not many people are going to wring their hands over actions taken against cartel or sex traffickers, or unfortunately people who can be convincingly labelled as such.

So when it's getting a response like this, it should be crystal clear just how fucking far over the line this is.

I personally still have a hard time advocating for precautionary violence, but there's surely a lot of ground to be gained in terms of breaking ICE morale.

Getting kicked out of a bar for the fifth time this month and realizing there is a vast network of underground activists tracking me every time I want to drink

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 23 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

These girls are far more resourceful than I thought, they’ve formed their own version of a comintern to make sure no one other woman fucks me. It’s crazy.

[–] meme_historian@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 2 hours ago

There's gotta be a group chat 🤔

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 48 points 4 hours ago

"It's crazy how the people who live in their neighborhoods are in their neighborhoods!" What literally no solidarity does to a motherfucker

[–] LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins@hexbear.net 54 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

The dumb fuckers who support this shit will literally just believe every single one of them is paid by George soros (specifically)

[–] nfreak@lemmy.ml 33 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

They literally can't comprehend the idea of people genuinely working together for their communities. Every single thing a conservative does is followed by "what's in it for ME?"

[–] decaptcha@hexbear.net 57 points 5 hours ago

Antifa and BLM were in the courtyard making ice bottles and I saw one of the ice bottles and the ice bottle looked at me

I believe the part about hotel staff dropping a dime on these fascists, very cool and good.

[–] Tabitha@hexbear.net 32 points 4 hours ago

it would be funny if the locals release their footage first and it's like from 20 angles.

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 39 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

This is fantastic. I hope his account is accurate.

[–] n0respect@lemmy.dbzer0.com 47 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

"They said they will kill the Press"

[X] Doubt

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 38 points 4 hours ago

Yes, the crowd that is livestreaming and uploading TikToks of absolutely everything happening with ICE and the protests in Minneapolis doesn’t want any coverage of the events getting out.

[–] j_elgato@leminal.space 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

What in the actual fuck did I just read?

[–] Ram_The_Manparts@hexbear.net 2 points 1 hour ago

A fairytale for large adult children.
