"Where are all the spoons?"
Why not put them in the naughty drawer?
Because then somehow they get out of the naughty drawer and you're back to picking up the slightly too thin fork with crappy tines again.
Narrator: They never did throw out that bad cutlery.
Did the same years ago, never looked back. We got a set of silver(!) cutlery set for our wedding from a rich aunt. It's a fucking nightmare. Have you ever had to keep silver cutlery clean?
We switched to a normal set of steel cutlery as soon as it was on the budget, but we kept the silver ones. But we didn't have to clean them for two decades, and that's good.
Usually people who have silver cutlery tend to only bring it out when they are entertaining guests. Since semi-formal dinner parties have fallen out of fashion and casual guests don't care about how nice your cutlery is, fancy silverware has basically become irrelevant these days.
I know, but it was the only set we got...
At least donate it instead of throwing in the landfill
You don't understand, these bent forks I accidentally stole from an elementary school cafeteria 30 years ago are important to me
Do it! I bought cutlery I liked years ago. It's so nice to like the feel of something I use two or three times a day.
The Bad Forks are kept around because my dingus of a twin wants the heavy cutlery (hiss boo) while I prefer only the lightest of cutlery.
Also the heavy ones are fine for tearing apart chicken and stuff, just not for eating.
We did throw away the one soup spoon that did fuck all and was universally panned by all three people.
I steal spoons I like from restaurants sometimes
It’s okay. Sometime I steal towels from hotel rooms.
Is this like support group confession time now?
You might have trouble using a stand as a utensil.
you need to keep a set to give to unwanted guests!
Few years ago we had a baking pan that has this terrible coating on it. Both my wife and I got the weirdest feeling touching it. We had to donate it.
I did this with my socks. Highly recommended
I spent so much time getting cutlery I liked and I won't purchase different ones.
You made the right choice.
Just have teenagers. They'll find a way to throw them away for you.
Do it to your bedding, your clothes, donate anything Microfibre, put padded quilts as couch covers I promise you life is ever so much better.
