Ahh fuck off. You were backing a dude who admitted on camera to walking in on teenage girls changing and was civily liable for rape. Don't act surprised hes protecting pedos

[–] ALoafOfBread@lemmy.ml 67 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Didn't she and her husband get together when she was a minor and he was 24 and had been convicted of indecent exposure to 2 minors at a bowling alley?

[–] TallonMetroid@lemmy.world 63 points 1 week ago (1 children)

She was one of the minors, IIRC.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 16 points 1 week ago

True love, yo. /s

But let's let her keep going after them even if stupid, any opposition can be beneficial.

Yeah, in the time honored tradition he pulled out his tiny hog in front of kids and then one of them married him. The one who became a grandma at 36. Said grandchild providing his dad with two separate charges of child abuse in 20 months.

The one who, as a US representative, was cranking hogs at the theatre while smoking the weed, before screaming at security who threw her out, denying everything 100% before security footage was released.

So yeah pretty much on the high ground.

He also admitted to Billy Bush and a camera crew that he grabs women’s private parts, and suggested that they let him do it because he’s famous. Additionally, during that same confession, he admitted to kissing women without permission, citing he can’t control himself.

You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.

When the tape was released, Trump said it was “locker room talk”. Which is literally not the point at all. The fact that you talk about abuse in only selective settings doesn’t absolve the abuse itself.

Additionally, in a 2023 deposition regarding a defamation lawsuit, Trump was questioned about the tape, and in response to whether stars can grab women by the genitals, replied:

Well, historically, that's true with stars.

Let's not forget that his uncle was a Nuclear

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

She protected a pedophile all the same

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 62 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Isn't Boebert the one who met her baby daddy by him flashing her while she was underage at a bowling alley and then she not only lied to to the cops to protect him, she made her friends lie to?

Like, she's right here. But she's been covering up for child abusers since she was a child.

How is she shocked the people who celebrated her also protect child abusers? That's likely why they liked her in the first place.

[–] AnchoriteMagus@lemmy.world 7 points 1 week ago

Also was supposedly an escort on a sugar daddy site prior to jumping on the MAGA grift.

[–] AnchoriteMagus@lemmy.world 53 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Boebert gonna be the next high-profile Republican to pull an MTG and start telling the truth to try and save herself?

Sorry, lady. Rats deserting a sinking ship are still fucking rats.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)

True. But they can be useful rats.

She can’t redeem herself at this point but she can still do things to create a thorn in their sides. And I’m totally for that.

[–] partofthevoice@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Yeah, we should be supporting her for this move. Make her feel good about it so that she doesn’t stop. That doesn’t change anything about her past actions, but we don’t want to make stop. It’s like the police offering a plea deal for snitching. We aren’t giving anything up by regarding this as a positive move on her behalf.

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 2 points 1 week ago

I like the concept of useful rats

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 week ago

MTG and Handy Boebert are just windsocks trying to stay in power. Both got elected just by telling morons what they wanted to hear.

[–] rozodru@piefed.world 41 points 1 week ago

ma'am you can't get on the MTG grift. your own kid(s) are a product of statutory rape. your own son has been charged what? twice now for child abuse?

you don't get a say in the matter.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 40 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Duh, this is your party, Bobo.

It turns out that the Republican Party is chock full of Republicans.

[–] luciferofastora@feddit.org 2 points 1 week ago

Rapeublicans

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 20 points 1 week ago

She gives handies in public so yeah this checks out, very much against cover ups.

[–] lmdnw@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Why are the American people are so stupid? They literally vote for pedophile rapists and then complain that the pedophile rapists don’t agree to disclose their actions as sexual assaulters. That’s like buying a wasps nest and then complaining that they won’t stop stinging you.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Why are the American people are so stupid?

Propaganda works. Sometimes it takes a long time and sometimes it’s quick, but it always works.

Also, it’s coming for everyone, so head’s up.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

Why are the American people are so stupid?

my theory: high fat diets clogging brain blood flow. Also why RFK wants you to eat more fat.

[–] homes@piefed.world 9 points 1 week ago

Takes one to know one, scumbag

[–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 7 points 1 week ago (2 children)

She's been consistently against pedo rings operating out of pizzeria basements, so I don't see this as an about-face.

[–] frog_brawler@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

Shaming the GOP is new for her.

[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Where does she say they should operate out of ?

[–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 4 points 1 week ago

Bowling alleys.

[–] AbidanYre@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

So is she startung to realize she was a useful idiot this whole time?

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)
[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 1 points 1 week ago

Eww,.no thanks

[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

OMG, imagine next elections are Kamala-AOC vs MTG-Bobert. And Republicans win again. How crazy would that be?

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago

It wouldn't be surprising honestly. There are enough morons in America that it neuters any expectation of sanity I ever had for the country

[–] 4am@lemmy.zip 7 points 1 week ago

AOC would never VP for Kamala

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 4 points 1 week ago

Chicken Lady finally grows a conscience. Sure

[–] NannerBanner@literature.cafe 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Theater lady says not to cover up

Theater lady who was a minor that had an adult expose himself to her in a bowling alley

Theater lady who lied to protect said adult exposing himself to other minors

/ironic.jpg

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Theater lady who was a minor that had an adult expose himself to her in a bowling alley

i don't blame her for being the victim of a crime. i do blame her for her actions after tho.

[–] NannerBanner@literature.cafe 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Aye, I don't think there's an easy way to really express how a teenager's actions, even if they are at the upper end of that spectrum, carry a responsibility and culpability that are quite different than an adult's, and also different than a tween's, and especially different than a child of 7-10, and completely different than a child younger than that.

I do have to raise an eyebrow at someone who was caught giving a stroke at a high school play though.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

That was a high school play? I thought it was a movie. Til. Also, wtf who is aroused at high school plays

[–] NannerBanner@literature.cafe 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Oh, damn. I definitely was mistaken. It said denver theater (and some clarify that it was a broadway style production) in the news articles I just looked up. I don't even know how I messed that up.

It was a republican scandal, easy to assume she was being indecent at a children's puppet show (not a fun saucy adult puppet show or anything) so I get you
