I distinctly remember 'playing' a thing that was 'AI Minecraft' years ago. Found it, I think. Very weird.

Because all new tech gets showed off on state during the prototype stage
In order for it to NOT be shit, it's going to need to be trained on different visual styles - which will utterly balloon the model size. It already takes a whole second GPU to run. Otherwise, everything that uses it will slide towards a single, generic pretty-people style.
If you WANT your game to look like airbrushed plastic surgery obsessed models with flawless makeup, then go hog, I guess - but I'd rather different games have different looks, myself.

Actually, I think Minecraft will be a special case where the game will look older. Minecraft is probably the game with the most pictures on the internet, and therefore those old pictures will be part of NVidia's training set. It may think the more "realistic" look I'd actually 2012 Minecraft, and AI-ify towards that direction.
